I actually I wrote that summation just yesterday for a conservative site I frequent. Though my primary focus in school is on deviancy in the American population (thus gays, sociopaths, etc) I have never tried to promote philosophical logic into a psychological class. What a silly thing that would be!
And I actually used pisskop the lonely as a gamertag back when I was a kid, how did you know?
It won't be hun. I dont think so. If you want to, well Im not prepared to prove such a moot point.
Homosexuality /=/ %100 genetic (or even %60)
People have a choice.
Therefore, my arguement stands. I am sorry you don't feel inclined to agree. I admire your passion and stubbornness, but I feel this argue*ment* has run its course.
I'm in a quandry here, as to specifically why some people object to same sex marriages; because it appears that most of the reasons are "personal" and yes, using religion is personal.
There is no agenda to end hetrosexual marriages, no one can be forced to "accept" a same sex marriage (same as bi-racial marriages), Church's can't be forced to preform same sex marriages, any more then they can be forced to preform a marriage that's outside of their own beliefs (ie: Jewish wedding in a Catholic church).
There is no requirement that you include them in your personal life or invite them into your home.
If they marry; those who don't agree can ignore them, you don't have to be friendly with them, you don't have to invite them to your home, you don't have to loan them your tools, you don't have to watch slide shows of their marriage or vacations and you don't have to shop at their stores.
People have argued that people need to stay out of the bedrooms of others and yet; this is different, for some reason.
Marriage has very little to do with sex and has more to do with love. Sex becomes a "by prodect" thankfully; but people with severe disabilities may have a sexless marriage, people who are way past the age of productivity may have a sexless marriage. This has nothing to do with love.
Trying to say that such marriges will lead to adults and children, or adults and animals, or adults and whatever take away from the actual debate.
Consenting ADULTS who are in violation of no laws should be denied the ability to marry someone the love and have the benefits that the Government now only allows to a select segment of society.
Now you can disagree with me and ignore what I've presented; just like you can disagree with and ignore a same sex marriage.

I read it and it is well written, unfortunately I do find the case for secondary deviancy convincing. I do think that the self identiy of 'homosexual' shapes how they think and act, resulting in a change in society's perception of them, resulting in a change in their self-identity and how they perceive and act, resulting in . . .
This is where I found my dissent.
Secondary deviance would require all homosexuals to include their sexuality in how they self-identify and change their actions based on the expectations of other people. While homosexuality may be an important part of the identity of a gay person, it is by no means the sole determinant in their associations and behavior
------
And it isn't the sole thing that defines a gay person, but it is included in every action, every thought. It's a part of self-identity. Define yourself, and you will list race, ideology, religion, orientation, etc. This is your identity. Orientation is included in this list.
The model works for thousands of behaviors, and just because this is a 'hot button' and contended issue doesn't change that. I said before I don't put much stock into emotions and feelings, so while I have no doubt there is prejudice and anxiety and stress, they choose the lifestyle no different than the high school jock or the comic-con-goer or the cyclist or the biker or the drug-addict or the Jew . . . everyone chooses their lifestyle, defines it by their (in) actions, and is free to alter their self-identity at any time.
I understand some lifestyles are hard to break out of, even if positive, but we all choose our identity through our actions. Who you are today and what you do determines who you are tomorrow. Homosexuality is no different.
It doesn't change your orientation. Just because you choose celibacy doesn't mean you stop being homosexual or hetrosexual, it just means you aren't having sex.

It is where you are missing the mark, my girlfriend denied her true nature for twenty years, she married, had children acted hetrosexual, but she wasnt and she realized it. She got tired of living a lie.
This is what you fail to understand. Changing you actions does not change your orientation. It is why, or at least one of the reasons for the high suicide rate amongst homosexuals.
You invest more emotion in this subject then you are able to admit, and your agenda is obvious from some of your other posts,

No, dumbfuck homophobe. It means you lied to your family, children, friends, and above all, yourself, for most of your life.
This is why we have grown men like you hanging around public restrooms and peeking into glory holes. You can't and won't admit to yourself that you like dick so you go hunting for it.
If closeted homosexuals like yourself would come out the percentage of gays in our society would quadruple. Until then you're just another sick liar and fraud.
I'll bet he gets a "D" on that paper...hell, if only his professor knew he used it as proof of some kind of scientific study!
