Did Anyone See This??

This seems a bit odd.

"NBC News reports that an FBI agent shot and killed a man who had been interviewed over ties to April's Boston Marathon bombing.

The individual, identified by friends as 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev, reportedly knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older, deceased Boston suspect through the world of Mixed Martial Arts. He had been initially cooperative with police, according to WESH-TV in Orlando. But at some point during the interview process, he allegedly attacked an officer, who then fired his weapon.

The station quotes a friend of Todashev, Khusn Taramiv, who said he was also interviewed.

"(The FBI) took me and my friend, the suspect that got killed. They were talking to us, both of us, right? And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back," Taramiv said.

Taramiv also said that Todashev "felt inside he was going to get shot" by the FBI.

"We are currently responding to a shooting incident involving an FBI special agent," FBI spokesman Dave Couvertier said in a statement, according to NBC. "The agent encountered the suspect while conducting official duties. The suspect is deceased."

IT seems strange that an FBI agent was so threatened by an unarmed man inside a law enforcement office that he had to kill him no?

It seems like total and complete BS. If the agent felt threatened, then why not simply have another agent (or several) in the room? Or cuff the guy to the chair (as seen on TV all the time, which means it is perfectly legit to do so)?

A total GUESS (for the morons on the board, do try to pay attention to the word in caps)...

suspects friend: "I am glad he did it"

agent: "what did you say"

suspects friend: "I said I am glad he did it, I only wish more had died"

agent: *shot fired*

agent: *that was fun, I should do this more often with these terrorists*

Well in Cali those two woman were shot for being in the same color truck as the cop killer.
Already trigger happy cops have the safety off when the adrenalin is pumping.

I think the interview was conducted in an apartment, not an FBI office, and the guy is a former mixed martial arts fighter with an apparent temper. Not saying it ain't strange, but not implausible that the FBI agent did indeed fear for his life when he shot him.

I agree, I am waiting for more information but it appears it happened inside an FBI interrogation room. The guy was some kind of karate champion... but still. I also read that they were interrogating two people, one of them they let go two hours earlier. The one who was let go said that he felt like he was about to be shot the entire time he was in the interrogation.

I couldn't find any further details and did not know it was in an apartment, but I still think it's weird. And you couldn't come up with a better story for fueling conspiracy buffs.

You ever watch The First 48? You'll see officers sitting alone in an interrogation room with a cold blooded killer (who's not wearing handcuffs) interviewing them and while other officers are watching it on TV in an adjacent room I'm always surprised some killer hasn't attacked an officer yet.

No but I've seen several episodes of Law and Order.

that would make more sense, but Darla's link had one of the two saying the FBI 'took them' and that the FBI would 'bring him back'. Still weird either way.

No, I just watch Dexter dismember the killers after the cops screw up.
