A letter to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg that tested positive for the deadly poison ricin also contained a dark warning to anyone who comes to “get my guns” and directly threatened the mayor, a source told NBC News on Thursday.

According to the source, the letter warned: “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns.” It concluded with the line: “What’s in this letter is nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you.”

A second letter that tested positive for ricin, sent to the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a Bloomberg-financed gun-control advocacy group, contained the same language, the source said.

Law enforcement sources disclosed the existence of the letters Wednesday. Both were postmarked May 20 from Shreveport, La.
Members of a New York police emergency unit who came in contact with the Bloomberg letter late last week are being examined for minor symptoms from ricin exposure that have since abated.

The FBI and New York police are investigating the threats.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns, founded by Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, lobbies state and federal lawmakers. It aired TV ads earlier this year encouraging Congress to expand background checks for gun purchases and to toughen other gun laws.

Yup, the ricin letter guy is a Tea party member and the OKC fed building was bombed by Muslims. I remember that well. You lefties are becoming as reactionary and retarded as the right.

1) You have NO idea whether or not this person is from a tea party, you simply wish to spew forth your hate of tea party groups
2) Obviously this individual is a nutter, but guess what, there are nuts on both sides and people who support the 2nd Amendment on both sides.
3) A person who is that distraught about the assault on gun rights is not really going to care what party people are a part of, he/she is going to send it to anyone who is championing a violation of rights.

anyone that would trample on the second amendment, or the constitution as a whole, deserves whatever they get. There is no tolerance for traitors.
