Pope issues mission statement for papacy

He doesn't like it at all, o sinless one.

But... when I'm in the eternal agony of hell-fire, you can show your heavenly charity by dipping a finger into cooling water and let a drop fall on my tongue.

:tongout:
actually, as I recall the passage, God didn't allow that......something about already having had your chance to make the right choices.....

Quite sure Wikipedia is the crappiest reference anyone can use when tying prosperity in with the gospels.

Deut 29:9

9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

you are confusing prosperity with the phenomena of Prosperity Theology......knew a woman once who's husband bought into the idea and decided that if they gave away 90% of everything they had that God would repay them and they would end up with twice what they gave away.......he's still pissed at God for not living up to His end of the bargain.....

uh, no.....the gospel is about what choices you make regarding your eternal soul, not about what how to invest your money......
Wrong. The gospel is about what choices we make in THIS life and how they determine our destination in the next life. Wisdom is key to our success, and using our finances wisely is right in line with gospel thinking.

No. They are different. The OT god is racist and wrathful, materialist, and loves war, the other is a being of love.
No, that's your fictional split personality God who's still confused about his sexual orientation.

The God of the Old Testament is the God of the New Testament. They are one in the same.

so, do you think the bible says invest wisely or go to hell?.....
