There is a difference between what you state and having a respectful discussion. I disagree with Mott politically much more than I do you (from what little I can tell about you) but I refuse to get into a name calling slugfest. When I disagree with someone it isn't hard to tell. Take this thread for instance. I agree with the sheriff's right to do what he wants and disagree that desh, Mott or anyone else can tell of his motivations just because of his geographic location. But what's the use of even discussing this with them? They are never going to see it the way I do and I'm not going to see it the way they do. But there is this one thing that I knew that most normal folks would find humorous...and I stated it. In short, birthers are nuts and do more harm to my side than they do good. Just like the conspiracy theorists who think Bush and company orchestrated 9/11 do harm to the left. So you continue like you wish and I will continue this relationship I've had with these people, most of whom are way to the left of me socially and politically, who I've known through the various political websites for a lot of years.
