Meanwhile the IPCC has been surreptitiously downgrading its doom laden prophecies, obviously the message hasn't reached the Guardian or the lefty blogs yet.

Unnoticed, the IPCC has slashed its global-warming predictions, implicitly rejecting the models on which it once so heavily and imprudently relied. In the second draft of the Fifth Assessment Report it had broadly agreed with the models that the world will warm by 0.4 to 1.0 Cº from 2016-2035 against 1986-2005. But in the final draft it quietly cut the 30-year projection to 0.3-0.7 Cº, saying the warming is more likely to be at the lower end of the range [equivalent to about 0.4 Cº over 30 years]. If that rate continued till 2100, global warming this century could be as little as 1.3 Cº.

Official projections of global warming have plummeted since Dr. James Hansen of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies told the U.S. Congress in June 1988 the world would warm by 1 Cº every 20 years till 2050 (Fig. 1), implying 6 Cº to 2100.

Meanwhile, rational people understand that the earth has been warming since the glacial retreat of the last ice age and are skeptical that an isignificant spec in geologic timeline of earth could be the cause of any global temperature shifts.

Yet there are many arrogant loony tune Liberals who are smarter than all others on the planet who arrogantly presume that they are the "deciders" and "arbiters" of man cause global temperature change regardless of the evidence to the contrary, but can also arrogantly presume to be the "deciders" and "arbiters" of what is good for the rest of mankind.

The amazing irony for the Leftist intelligentsia is that they cannot begin to comprehend how truly stupid and hypocritical they look and sound; they're too busy being full of themselves.
 
the 4 degree celsius sensitivity claims are bogus. IPCC AR5 puts the upper limit on climate sensitiviy at 2.7 degrees celcius.

This estimation of 4º C by 2100 is based on new research indicating that clouds which provide some cooling and whose role in reducing temperatures has previously not been analyzed will decrease in size and frequency under warmer conditions thus by their absence contributing to even higher temperatures than previously thought.

It's not debatable that ice is two standard deviations ABOVE the 30 year average in Antartica.
It's not debatable that ice is two standard deviations BELOW the 30 year average in the Arctic.

That assertion is contradicted by decades of peer-reviewed studies. Even the IPCC has claimed increased warming will lead to greater evaporation and thus extreme weather events like flooding.
