Couple sent to prison for praying for sick kid instead of getting medical attention

A couple who believed in faith-healing were sentenced Wednesday to 3½ to seven years in prison in the death of a second child who was sick but didn't see a doctor. A judge told Herbert and Catherine Schaible that it wasn't 8-month-old Brandon's time to die. "You've killed two of your children ... not God, not your church, not religious devotion — you," Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Benjamin Lerner said.

This is the SECOND time this has happened:

A jury had convicted both parents of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of son Kent. They were put on 10 years of probation that included orders to seek medical care if any other child got sick.

Honestly these parents should be sentenced to life imprisonment after violating the previous order after KILLING THEIR FIRST kid, now they have 2 dead kids on their hand for their irrational beliefs. So sad and disgusting.

Let the demonization of Christian Scientists begin. They've been around for ages, but only now are they a danger to liberalism.

Why? Forget compelling nuns to buy condoms for sluts... the real US Supreme Court challenge to Obamacare is going to come from compelling Christian Scientists to buy health insurance.

... and if they are granted an exemption, then basically anyone can be exempt under the Equal Protection clause.
