Brexit predictions?

I honestly think that if they had a re-vote right now, leaving would lose by double digits.

People need to think before they vote. Voting to "stick it" to someone just isn't very smart.

You're right. There is already a 2 million signature petition for the Westminster parliament to IGNORE the referendum result- which apparently is not legally binding.

Meanwhile;

Scotland and Northern Ireland react to Brexit vote

The prospect of a second Scottish independence referendum looms, as Sinn Fein also calls for a vote on a united Ireland.

So the one's who voted to stay are asking for a redo.

LOL

It's like:
"UHHHH-UHHHHH; we didn't get our way, so we need to get more people to vote for what we want".

You just watch; because they'll probably do a sit in, on the floor of parliament. :D

I already told you, I believe by mid next week, the market will have corrected itself over this panic and be back to the same place or higher.

Asking how the American people get that back is really naive. Most of the people who lost money in the market are in the 1%, and here you are concerned about them. Remember how much the market lost in 2008? Well, did it not gain it back? That is the answer to your silly question.

And this is what Nigel Farage said when he believed Remain would win 52-48:

"Nigel Farage warns today he would fight for a second referendum on Britain in Europe if the remain campaign won by a narrow margin next month.

The Ukip leader said a small defeat for his leave camp would be “unfinished business” and predicted pressure would grow for a re-run of the 23 June ballot.

Farage told the Mirror: “In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it.”

So what's your point?

Eh, the Dow Jones goes up again!! The FTSE 100 has already ended the week higher than it started!! :palm:

I'm not too worried about the DOW, it will likely rebound. But I don't pretend to know for certain. This is unprecedented, and I feel anyone who says they do know is wanking.

Let's take a look at what's happening right now:

Shares are expected to suffer fresh losses on Monday as the unfolding political crisis in Britain grips the financial markets.

"The FTSE 100 index is currently tipped to fall by 2.8% tomorrow morning, according to a market being run today by IG, the City spread-betting firm.

That would knock around 180 points off the blue-chip index, on top of the 199 points lost during Friday’s whirlwind session.
Germany’s DAX is being called down 2% too, reflecting concerns that the eurozone’s largest economy will suffer from Brexit uncertainty.

Friday’s rout wiped more than $2tn off shares worldwide. Middle East markets, which were closed on Friday, are suffering heavy losses in Sunday trading. Egypt’s index has slumped by 5%, Dubai is down 3.15% while the Qatar and Kuwait bourses dipped around 1%.

I think the likely outcome, economically speaking only, will be that Europe will rebound, the US will rebound. The UK, who knows if they will hold, or split, and we will have an "Little England" it's early, we will have to see. However, their GDP will fall, and the new right wing Tory will institute public cuts and further austerity. They're on the way down. That is my opinion.

The political implications and consequences, well, no one really knows that yet. Anyone who tells you they do is either a simpleton or a liar. They will be far-reaching. And yes, they can even lead to a world war. Not today, not tomorrow, but they can. I am not predicting that. I am simply stating the obvious - this is unprecedented, there truly is a rise of right wing populism chock full of nativism, racism, and even nazism throughout Europe. And no one, least of all Colonel Blimp, knows how this is going to play out over the next decade. The next decade. Not the next week. (though they don't know that either). The next decade.
