The reality is that Trump saw a segment on Fox & Friends, took the bait (no one is on the other end of the line but this is one stupid fish) and tweeted his feel driven nonsense. Now we can all laugh at his and his supporters pretenses on political correctness while it overshadows his Carrier deal.
