Manchester

That's a lame defense. Even IF that was the case, many others read it, and it's offensive for a lot of people just to see that word.

Doesn't seem like too much to ask to stop using it, unless you really feel like it's the only thing you've got going for you here.

Why do you hate the women's anthem known as The Vagina Monologues? They throw the horrendously offensive word around like The Don threw Hillary into the morass.

I know nothing about it.

But really, if my asking some here to stop using that word is of major concern to you, I'll back off. Please - feel free to encourage that level of discourse. I hate to upset the apple cart on this one.

Your hypocrisy never has before. Maybe you can ask the producers of TVM to continue using such an offensive word, as well.

Where is my hypocrisy here? Would you like me to start threads about anyone who has ever used that word, urging them to stop even though they very likely do not read this board?

As I said, carry on. It was just a simple request. I didn't know you were so adamant about encouraging others to use that word - have at it. It was just a simple ask on my part.

A Muslim Imam and a 93-year-old Jewish woman prayed together in a touching moment of unity as they paid tribute to the victims of the*Manchester*terror attack.

Elderly Renee Black and Imam Sadiq Patel, both members of the Blackburn Interfaith Forum, laid flowers and reflected on the lives of those lost when they visited a memorial in Albert Square, Manchester, today.**

Vigils have been held around the country as people join together in solidarity and try to come to terms with the atrocity which took the lives of 22 innocent people and injured a further 119 on Monday night. *

A minute's silence will be observed at 11am on Thursday in remembrance of the victims, while flags will remain at half-mast on government buildings until the evening of May 25, said a statement released jointly by 10 Downing Street, the Foreign Office and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

lol....did you seriously think I would stop because you asked me?......did you stop when I asked you to stop lying?......personally I don't think that calling someone a cunt is any more offensive than saying something about Trump which is not true.........if I ask you not to do that will you back off?.....

Not so much in England. I find it offensive and do not use it, but I'm not English and if some people want to use it, have at it. It is just a word.

Thin skin baby.

It is rarely used by men to insult women over here. Although women do use it to insult men.

Ah, had an English chap as a friend when I was younger and he stopped using it because it is so offensive here and he didn't realize it when he first came here. But he would still call close guy friends cunt once in a while and we would all bust up. Doesn't sound so bad with an English accent. :D

Oh man you're talking about 30-40 years ago when the National Front was rife. That generation is dying out to be replaced by PC thought control. Even the dear old Aunty Beeb finally abandoned her stupifying political correctness and told a no holds barred story of what happened in Rochdale in Three Girls. That in itself is a minor miracle, what's the betting that you've never heard of it?

I go up there often, and have never come across anything but half-witted racism. There is no such thing as political correctness except in right-wing heads, but least of all in that dump. In modern racist societies you do not interfere with the other lot - you just want their vote.

Northern Labour councils are PC beyond belief, deny that and you'll deny anything. It is the main reason that the police, social services and the council staff were terrified to do anything lest they be accused of racism. After Rotherham virtually all the high ups in the council, social services and police committees were booted out, because they were so inept. If you try to deny that then you truly do live in an alternate world.
