Huh? Guess you don't understand much about insurance or this Exec order. The across state lines applies only to group policies. Ending the subsidies is the biggee.

The fact that Republicans get snookered into voting against their own interest -- habitually -- is a great example of why Trump won the election. Pretty hilarious that for decades (until this very day) the Republican middle class / working poor voted for lower taxes on the rich in some hope that they will urinate prosperity on them like some Russian prostitute. Meanwhile blaming Democrats when this blew up in their face, and voting for more Republican rich-porn. Remember the Tea Party? LOL.

These actions will force Congress to decide what that will be. It was their job to sort that out, its still their job.

Quick, lets 'compromise' and implement the ACA replacement that had 15% popularity. Forgetting that the ACA was actually based on Republican ideas in the first place -- straight from the Heritage Foundation that backed it until Obama adopted it.

Our ruling
Qualls said the Affordable Care Act "was the Republican plan in the '90s." The bill she had in mind did have a strong roster of Republicans behind it, and it did share many major features with the Affordable Care Act. There were some significant differences but in a side-by-side comparison, the similarities dominate.
However, to call it the Republican plan, as though a majority of Republicans endorsed it, goes too far. The House Republicans took a different path, and there was opposition from more hard-line members of the Republican coalition. It is telling that the Chafee bill never became a full blown bill and never came up for a vote.
We rate the statement Half True.

It's actually an improvement of the Republican idea, because it deals with pre-existing conditions, lifetime caps and discrimination. Do you oppose these additions?

I oppose government mandating what a private industry must sell and what a private citizen must purchase.

I agree 100%. Obamacare is a clusterfuck, a colossal mistake. What's the best way to fix it? Destroy the insurance companies so big gubmint takes it ALL over?

This is complex and can't be solved with a temper tantrum.
 
Why should Republicans be trusted with healthcare when they rejected not only their own compromise to socialized medicine (Obamacare/Romneycare), but also rejected their alternative to Obamacare?
