Many hunters use AR15's

Go hunt this with an AR-15, and if you survive I will call an AR-15 a hunting rifle?!!

I aready have.

Nobody ever used AR-15's for hunting until it started being pointed out that AR-15's are not hunting rifles, so gun faggots 'cross 'Murica started taking their AR's out in the woods and shooting at anything that moved so they could come back and claim that they use them for hunting.

Typical.

Link? when have AR's never been hunting rifles?

Not true. When thy were being developed, the airforce who was running our program for it, said it was done because their soldiers were such bad shots, that they wanted to have enough lead flying to compensate. It requires less ability to take down a target.

You are an uninformed idiot. The Air Force? Their "soldiers were such bad shots"?

But all you and your rightwing buddies have done is offer unsubstantiated assertion and empty slogans.

I am not surprised you only had a irrelevant, one sentence retort to this trauma surgeon.

This trauma surgeon (who is an avid hunter himself) explained the fundamental differences between AR 15 assault rifles and traditional hunting rifles with a high degree of expertise, supported by mathematics, engineering, and physiology. He made an expert and credible case in a way I have never seen a rightwing gun humper on this forum ever do.

So now you're an expert on bullet weights, configuration, velocity, down range energy and the many different calibers of center fire rifles? Please, by all means, enlighten us...

Hunting, traditionally, requires stealth, tracking, understanding the elements, animal behavior etc. A whole slew of different issues that culminates in a victory shot. Now days, it literally is point and shoot. You don't even need to get anywhere near the animal with the range of scopes. I'm not stating that the usage of the gun is different. I'm referring to the actual hunting process.

Are you ASSuming that what you call a "traditional" hunt doesn't occur? How often do you go hunting?

At some point it's simply not hunting any more if your gun does all the work and you just have to pull the trigger.

That kind of depends on the reason one hunts doesn't it? If you hunting to put food on the table or that trophy rack you want all the help you can get. If your hunting for sport then I agree, in fact real sport hunting is bow hunting.

I'm sure they do. I didn't say they don't. I said if you use a gun that pretty much does all the work and your effort is basically point and shoot then you aren't hunting in the traditional sense of the word. There are plenty of bow hunters out there still.

lol

Hunter gatherers did so out of necessity, cocksucker. Your fetished AR pusswipes do so, well because they are twatwattles.

But you seem to be arguing that they would not have used more sophisticated weapons had they been available. Which makes you retarded.

Nope. I’m not arguing what they “would have” anything, idiot. You are and that makes you the moron.

I'm saying that anyone who thinks technologically limited subsistence hunters would prefer using a spear over a high-powered rifle is a retard.

Retard.

My brother in law, and one of my buddies are bow hunters. Strikes me as a high skill sport, worthy of respect.

As far as I can tell, the gun humpers who want to use high-powered, military-style assault rifles for hunting deer and pheasant are the exact same people who would like to use dynamite and electro-shocking for fishing.

You should kindly let them know that bow hunting is considered inhumane.

Thats because despite being in your 50s and claiming to love science you still don't understand basic mechanical devices like guns and feel the need to apply emotionally charged human traits to them.

Ummm, people use shotguns for hunting fowl. In Ohio, it's illegal to hunt deer with high powered rifles other than muzzle loaders. But these ain't the muzzle loaders of the 1700's. In Ohio people who hunt deer with guns use deer slugs and shotguns.

Are you a vegetarian or vegan?

You do not need 30 rounds and a high rate of fire to hunt....unless you are a really, really bad shot. In which case, you need to find another sport besides hunting.
