curious.......do you believe that the government knows better than you how to raise and educate your children?
I believe when there is a hurricane coming at you, they do, especially when your ass will need rescued and you endanger others.
Most common sense answer I have seen here in a long time.

I lived on the east coast for 6 years, coastal NC. went through at least a dozen hurricanes at that time. 90% of the people know how to prepare and survive a hurricane there without the need to be rescued. So tell me again, how the hell does government know better than 90% of the people who know how to survive a hurricane when the frickin government doesn't even have to know laws to enforce laws?

This portends to be the biggest storm in history for that area. I’m fine with people staying, I just think they should suffer the consequences if they choose to stay. Don’t be expecting others to risk their lives because of your stupidity.
I also hate that children have to suffer because of stupid adults.
Not sure why you are saying that. What she said is absolutely right. Most of those "intelligent" adults you are referring to are anything but when a real storm hits.

Using STY's logic, the need for rescue personnel being there is non-existent. Since he believes people should be able to stay, surely he believes that they should be able to fend for themselves by having done so.
Then you're OK if rescue personnel are sent to the area to rescue people who choose to stay? You're OK with the power companies staying away and letting those that choose to stay get their own power back on line? You're OK if no food and medical supplies go to those areas?
I'm all for them staying using STY's logic as long as no taxpayer funded help goes their way. If he thinks they're that smart, surely they're smart enough to fend for themselves afterwards.

the children are being taught how to prepare and survive a natural emergency without government assistance. I realize that this is something liberals/progressives don't like to endorse because of their worship of huge government, but they are not suffering. this is only your speculation because of your own inadequacies

How do you know this woman has survival skills? She better hope there isn’t flooding like Hawaii and Texas, if there is, she better hope she can use her survival skills to get to high ground, if there is any.
