Flake says if FBI investigation finds Kavanaugh lied, nomination is over

Does that mean if they find he was telling the truth you'll support his confirmation? If not, then your motivation is to ruin someone's career based on false claims because you hate the person that nominated him.

I wouldn't count on Flake for anything.

Note to Jeff Flake: A Limited FBI Investigation of Brett Kavanaugh Is Entirely Insufficient
The nominee’s full record should be examined, including his many misleading and false statements to the Senate.

be: at the center of attention, moralizing on every TV screen and positioning himself as the essential man in the Senate from which he will soon retire. The fear is that, as usual, the Republican senator from Arizona is pulling his punches, creating more confusion than certainty and, if past is prologue, preparing for an act of compromise rather than conscience.

For now, however, Flake has opened an avenue for renewing the system of checks and balances that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley have abandoned. We should utilize it. But we should not accept attempts by Flake or anyone else to limit how far we can take it.

On Friday afternoon, moments before the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to support the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Flake announced to his fellow members of the committee that he wasn’t so sure about what it was about to do. No, the Republican who frequently criticizes Donald Trump but rarely breaks with the president did not say he was going to join Democrats in voting to block Trump’s scandal-plagued nominee to the Supreme Court. In fact, Flake had already revealed that he would vote for Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

That is how things are supposed to work.

Well, in a normal world, for sure. But we no longer live in a normal world. This is a Trump reality show where lies are truth, sexual assault = I love women, up is down, wrong is Right.

Sens. Jeff Flake and Chris Coons said in an interview that aired Sunday that if the FBI investigation into sexual assault and misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh finds that the judge lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee during his testimony on Thursday, his nomination likely would not move forward

Flake is a RINO. Can't wait til he's replaced by a real conservative Republican.

I guess I am not surprised that the rightwing posters who have spent message board careers making false accusations, supporting horseshit innuendo, are now "suddenly" concerned about false accusations.

:lolup:Moron thinks the clown show just put on by the Party of the Jackass in senate hearings is the normal world. :rofl2:

Okay, I fixed your false bullshit and made it factual. Now look in the mirror and say it again.

The drunken slut lies while Kavanaugh tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Kavanaugh should have been confirmed already.

Hello hvilleherb,

The drunken slut lies while Kavanaugh tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Kavanaugh should have been confirmed already.

I see no reason to rush.

A seat on the SCOTUS lasts a long time.

We need to take the time to ensure it is a good decision.

If the Republican Senate wanted to proceed quickly, they should have given Garland a hearing.

yea, and I just declared that if the price of tomatoes goes up again, no more BLT's for me.

was there a point to your quoting Flake, I'm sure you thought there was
