I disagree on the Senate. A true wave would have taken out the Senate too regardless of the tough map. It may not have taken out all republicans, but they would have been able to get control of the Senate.

The Dems coming in only had 8 Rep seats up for grabs. They would have had to win 3 of those while not losing any of theirs.
