Why were CNN cameras present at Stone’s arrest?

I wish I’d saved the link but I read a piece by a former agent who claimed that absolutely wasn’t SOP—but way over the top.

As any reasonable person should know. What good is tactical gear in searching the premises?? Stone is elderly and his wife is blind, for crying out loud. All the weapons present *increased* the likelihood of someone being shot by mistake.

Three agents armed with pistols would border on overkill in that situation. It’s fricking ridiculous what they did to Stone—a man accused of lying.

Yeah...it is too bad you didn't save the link!

[h=1]Roger Stone threatened to expose Mueller's dirty dealings if he were to be indicted.[/h]

https://www.thedailybeast.com/roger-stone-arrested-following-mueller-indictment?ref=home

On Monday before he was charged, Stone told The Daily Beast that he expected to be indicted by the special counsel.

I think it is possible that I will be framed, in which case I will expose both illegal surveillance on me and gross prosecutorial misconduct by a number of lawyers working for Mueller.”

Well Roger ... any minute now!

why do we time after time take threads off topic off n some tangent not even remotely related

CNN was at the scene because?

they are part of the team, no other explanation

CNN was there because they are part of the "team"

Here ya go, Frankie lol.

Get your spin machine ready because you’re going to need it:

I supervised the prosecution and, thus, the capture of foreign terrorists. The FBI never sent 29 agents to capture even the most dangerous.

Department of Justice protocol for non-violent defendants with no flight risk is to contact defense counsel and arrange a time to appear in federal court for arraignment. Stone has claimed for months that he was about to be indicted. Yet, he did not flee. He has stated that his passport is expired. The judge did not find Stone a flight risk, releasing him on his own signature.

The reason for not sending armed agents unnecessarily into an arrest situation is the possibility of danger to law enforcement, the defendant, and family members. Stone’s deaf wife was still in bed at 6:00 a.m. when the agents barked “Open up. It’s the FBI.” The announcement is intended to alert people inside not to fight and to voluntarily open the door. But Stone’s wife would have had no idea what was happening. Are we to believe that after over a year of tracking Stone’s every move and reading all his correspondence, Mueller’s henchmen did not know this fact?

Worse, someone with the FBI or Mueller’s team dropped a dime on CNN, which sent a reporter who falsely claimed he was only there because of “reporter’s instinct.” The presence of the press was intended to send a message: “If you cross Mueller, you will be publicly humiliated.”

NO OTHER EXPLANATION???

Well...maybe to someone not using their head.

But there are MANY other possible explanations...one of which is the one given by CNN.

In The Daily Caller...and by a founding partner of diGenova & Toensing!!!

You shoulda quoted Hannity instead!

Many other, less biased sources, say the number of officers were a dozen or less...and there were no tanks or helicopters, or all the other bullshit you claim.

The most significant part of this laughable essay is: "Department of Justice protocol for non-violent defendants with no flight risk is to contact defense counsel and arrange a time to appear in federal court for arraignment."

The indictment from which the FBI was working indicated that Stone WAS A FLIGHT RISK.

That is what they were working from...that is what dictated what they did.

feel free to let CNN be your end all frankie

do those puppet strings stay on when you sleep

If you want to think that ONLY THE EXPLANATION YOU TRUMP PUPPETS SUGGEST works...

...go for it.

I enjoy a laugh.

And you poor bastards are about as laughable as they come since your Dear Leader CAVED SO COMPLETELY.

trying to justify that use of force to apprehend Stone makes you look really silly Frankie,

sometimes you just admit what you saw with your own eyes, maybe dig into why they did it a little?

open your eyes frankie, would make it a lot more interesting chatting with you

back to calling me names and insulting?

Stone was a flight risk so they sent a squad of agents in tactical gear—to do what, Frankie?

Shoot him if he ran out the back door? If Stone was a flight risk why didn’t he flee the country weeks or months ago? Why did the judge release him after he was arraigned.

Nothing’s adding up Frankie.

Shooting the messenger is lame, btw. Are you claiming the former prosecutor is lying? If so, can you back up the claim?

We are having a discussion, Getin.

Nothing "silly" about MY position.

YOUR position that the ONLY possible explanation is what YOU claim it to be...IS silly. Very silly. In fact, I an astonished you even advocate it. It seems beneath you.

My eyes are open. Open yours.

Beats me...but the FBI was working from the indictment...and the indictment suggested he was a flight risk.

Nothing’s adding up Frankie.

Not to you guys...but to most people it adds up just fine.

Shooting the messenger is lame, btw. Are you claiming the former prosecutor is lying? If so, can you back up the claim?

I am claiming that a biased former prosecutor is biased. I also am claiming that HER opinion is not worth more than opinions of people for whom I have more respect.

If you think she is not biased...fine with me. If you think she deserves more respect...fine with me.

Wow...the Trump supporters sure are in a dither...now that their Dear Leader has caved in so completely.

Kinda fun to watch.

I prosecuted drug dealers. I never sent more than a handful of agents to arrest them, and these were were gun toting, vicious dudes. Stone does not own a gun nor does he even have a license to do so.

Levin was on last night talking about Weisman with some woman who was familiar with the "Enron Squad"

Weisman was overturned 9-0 by SCOTUS for not giving exculpatory evidence ( this after Arthur Anderson auditing peeps were put in max security)

These mothers are not about fairness -they are abut getting indictments, and they manufacture them as needed.
This is the Mueller group.
They are Untouchables
