covering McCain

Trump said he had not been made aware of any plans concerning the ship, tweeting Wednesday night: "I was not informed about anything having to do with the Navy Ship USS John S. McCain during my recent visit to Japan. Nevertheless, @FLOTUS and I loved being with our great Military Men and Women - what a spectacular job they do!"

Navy Cmdr. Clay Doss, a US Seventh Fleet spokesman, told CNN that "all ships remained in normal configuration during POTUS' visit."

how do you deny this happened

Pretty easy... it didn't.

Did you know the ship is undergoing massive repairs? Did you know the tarp and paint barge were removed FOR the Presidents visit? That both were gone by the time Trump got to town?

No, because you believe whatever your masters tell you to believe.

:lolup::rofl2:

How do you repair an area covered by a tarp?

Gullible fucking Trumptard.

A complete and utter lie. There was some email traffic between low level Naval officers about moving the John McCain out of port for the presidents visit to Japan, but Senior Naval officers squelched that. Trump does enough stupid stuff that you lefties don't have to make up lies to make him look bad.

"(CNN)President Donald Trump and John McCain's long-running feud is back in the spotlight following reports that White House and lower-level US Navy officials traded emails about keeping a warship named from the late senator's father and grandfather out of sight ahead of the President's trip to Japan.
Two Navy officials confirmed to CNN Wednesday night that the White House Military Office asked lower-level US Navy officials about keeping the ship out of view. One of the Navy officials further clarified Thursday morning that the discussion included obscuring the ship or moving it, which was not practical because the ship was under repairs at the time.
"Once leadership heard about it, they said knock it off," a senior Navy official told CNN."

The reason his staffers thought it was a good idea was because Trump is a small and petty man who holds silly grudges. Trump' tirade today showed what a jerk he is about McCain. That attitude is why Whitehouse employees thought it was a good idea. Would that have happened when Obama was in office? How about when Bush was in.?Nope, this can only happen when you have a jerk like Trump in charge. Trump is horribly immature and his people are predicting what he would want. This was Trumpian.

The name of USS John S. McCain was not obscured during the POTUS visit to Yokosuka on Memorial Day. The Navy is proud of that ship, its crew, its namesake and its heritage.

That photo is not from the day of the POTUS visit (Monday in Japan, Sunday in US), as the WSJ report itself mentions.

A real Commander-in-Chief would have expressed outrage. Not at the media -- but at whoever thought that this was a good idea. He would have sternly promised to get to the bottom of it, and discipline whoever was responsible, and make sure that it wouldn't happen again. Of course, since he is NOT a real CiC, but rather a snowflake pussy, all he did was deny knowing anything about it.
