why cant we agree on what is racism?

If you really want to discuss, why don't YOU provide examples for people to discuss?

The reason people don't always agree is that some people (like YOU) run around screaming racism every time a disagreement involves people of different ethnicity.

It is also a subjective term based on individual points of view. Some things are going to be blatant, where the vast majority would agree. Others are more subtle and you get varied opinions.
.
Some good points..

Ppl used to say something like "you'll know it, when it happens to you", but maybe that isn't as true as it once was??

Racism of one sort or another does seem to be a catch all for many things...

Sometimes you just can't win: you voted for trump or Obama you're a fuckin racist, you didn't vote for Obama or trump, you're a fuckin racist..

Some folks are chill & just don't let shit/non-shit bother them, a few are hypersensitive & everything bothers them...

Ppl are ppl, & that isn't necessarily always a good thing.. Que sera sera

It's interesting, the other day TTQ64 wrote that if you think the Squad is far left and if you don't support free education, free health care and reparations then you support racism. And she included white liberals in that because she was speaking directly to a white liberal poster on this board. By her definition Micawber is a racist.

I found it quite amusing to see liberals who love calling others racist get called racist themselves.

One post claimed the Squad is racist because they all voted against the $4 billion appropriation to improve detention facilities for immigrants.

While you have said that thousands of times here, to over 100 + members you have yet to prove that, nary a one, sounds like just another couple thousand fails...
does it need to be proved?.....given the fact that Obama had a couple years of experience as a community organizer, one term as a state senator and half a term as a federal senator, can you really pretend to yourself that he would have been nominated, let alone elected to the presidency if he was not anointed to be"THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT"?.......

Good points. And there is also the perception of racism. There was a TV show ("Black and White"?) involving a black couple and white couple. They would make up each couple like the other race to let them experience how that race is treated.

In one episode the black guy was dressed as himself while the white guy was made up as black. They were walking down the sidewalk together and some white people coming toward them stepped off the sidewalk as they met. The black guy saw that as racism (they didn't want to get too close to two black guys) while the white guy just saw it as moving aside so they didn't run into each other.

Most certainly not you or most democrats. To and them everyone disagrees with you or dares disagree with a black person is a racist.

No one even cares about your cry wolf claims anymore.

And we don't care that you don't care and we won't desist because it's true. You support a racist president and don't call him out
you are a racist. There, I said it again. And nobody will ever stop doing it until you stop being one.

See how that works?

Now if you do want me to stop calling you a racist, there is a way. 1. Say you disavow racism against minorities.
2. Admit Trump is a racist. 3. Support Trump by saying you wish he was not a racist but you want the tax cut and the macho bullshit
stuff and abortion or whatever.

But be honest. That is the key. Stop doing the tribe thing and be honest. Your party is incapable of honesty in fact anymore. Now your
party fights every battle, denies every argument, never cedes an inch, even the indisputable points. It's disgusting.

Yes, & I don't see how that can change-reaching the same conclusions coming from different experiences... :dunno: Either of their observations could be correct or totally wrong for all we know.........

Perhaps one of them has an allergy to the tons of cologne some ppl wear, one of the had an accident & didn't want anyone to smell it, so on, so on, :blah:

I walk around in my neighborhood all the time...... If there is women, I always walk around, or even cross the street, as I am just randomly wandering anyway..

Dog, wheelchair, a couple etc etc etc.......

I would guess you could project motives on to ppl, I doubt you'd be right very often...

neither of you people were there

I have been in stores full of latino people and seen a white man walk in and get all weirded out that there were sooo many latinos there

it was written all over his face and his body language

he said nothing but everyone who saw him walk in could tell he was a racist

Including me

No, bigot works fine
: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudicesespecially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (such as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

There are five types of racism. Most people aren’t aware of that. It isn’t just based on intolerance and power.

Thanks because you just proved that people like LV and TTQ are bigots, even though the JPP liberals won't admit it.

Some perceive racism when it is not there, and some do not perceive it when it is there.

People like you make a determination by just looking at someone.
