I think they are more confused. America has always been a different kettle of fish for both the Euros and Asians, both of whom have a few thousand years of monarchies and history behind them. How an upstart nation becomes the world's greatest super power and financial dynamo mystifies them a bit. They respect it. When we elect an idiot, it just adds to the confusion, but I have no doubt they respect Americans enough to not underestimate us.

I've been watching a lot of "Columbo" on IMDB TV, along with movies like "Angel has Fallen", "Where'd You Go, Bernadette" and "The Art of Racing the Rain". I also binge watched most of "Ray Donovan" up to the middle of season 6.

“Super8”, it was an entertaining, don’t have to think about it, movie. “Fractured”, don’t bother. We also caught up on the series we watch. “Prodigal Son”, the rest we are waiting new seasons.
 
There was a calm moment when Pence gave an answer to Peter Alexanders question. To bad Trump is not adult enough to answer like that.

I can't answer for people in Asia, but I suppose most Europeans think the US has a lot of power but has gone completely round the twist. I think we are just sitting about hoping Covid 19 (or anything) removes the poor pathetic fool and allows you to get back to sanity.

Again, I think both the Euros and Asians are smart enough to realize that one fucking moron doesn't speak for all 327 Million Americans. Additionally, they realize that the American two-party system is an "either/or" not the parliamentary/coalition building system most of Europe has. The difference between the two deplorables who ran in 2016 was only 2.1% of over 128 million votes cast. The US is the third most populous nation on the planet after China and India. Other First World nations are a third or less of our size.

I don't think anyone has anything against the normal, decent Americans, the people who elected an admirable President like Mr Obama. The right-wing populism that has replaced the Republican Party, though, and its current fuhrer, are, given American military power, unbelievably dangerous for all of us, far more dangerous than Hitler or Stalin because their leader is apparently senile, ignorant of the world and lacking in normal human feelings. Your NRA has let us all down very, very badly.
