Apparently, a tax increase of 1% of the GDP means a whopping 3% increase in unemployment.

So if we abolished taxes we'd have -40% unemployment. And in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, countries with vibrant economies functioning much better than Americas, unemployment is apparently supposed to be 60%, because they're taxation per GDP is twice ours.

Give the fuck up fiscal conservatives. Your dead. Your a dinosaur in history and you can't fuck up our nation anymore, you greedy fucking bastards.

cons refuse to give up on their concepts even when repeatedly proven to fail.
Keep trying it it will work eventually.

Ha, certainly you are not implying that a tax increase of 1% of the GDP creating a 3% increase in unemployment (not supporting or refuting the legitimacy of this claim) would automatically necessitate an additional 3% unemployment for every 1% increase of the GDP.

The problem with that logic is obvious, and the author's initial assertion (3% unemployment for 1% of the GDP) may or may not be correct, but it's being correct certainly does not necessitate what you have claimed, and the author of this article never implies such.

The fact that you would imply that his claim necessitates such idiocy shows a complete misunderstanding of the fundamentals of economics.

Find a better way to bash the virtues of fiscal conservatism next time. If it exists, that is.

There is no way to justify fiscal conservatism. Believing in it signifies an absensce of the parts of the mind involved in economic thought.

For every 1% taxes are lowered on the rich, unemployment increase by 5%.

This can be shown by my charts.

Actually, I heard that the unemployment rate will increase by 46%.

And anyway this ignores my point. If there truly is a link between tax rate as % of the GDP and unemployment, why doesn't it show up in those nations? And why have they stayed developed nations for hundreds of years using policies conservatives guarantee would land us in the third world, policies so radically left wing that a socialist in San Fransisco couldn't be elected proposing them?

Oh, I'm not saying that this guy is correct. My point is just two things:

1. What you said in your first post wouldn't be true even if this guy is correct.

2. Even if he is wrong, it is neither a reflection on the greater ideals behind fiscal conservatism nor is it proof that fiscal conservatism has somehow failed. This is especially true since something cannot fail when it hasn't been implemented on a national scale for close to seventy years.

In fact, even Reagan's Administration spent like crazy, and a lot of conservatives have trouble coming to terms with that.

how is that education coming along?

oh yes, charts prove everything....

Watermark proclaiming conservatives stupid and lecturing us on economics, is like Paris Hilton proclaiming Stephen Hawking stupid, and lecturing the scientific community on physics.

...you just have to shake your head at the splendor of his profound ignorance.

The most dishonest thing about conservatives are the metrics they use. We base our whole notion of economic success on GDP which is just a measure of transactions occurring. So if all citizens maxed out their credit cards with no thought of how to pay it back, the neocons would consider it "good", regardless of the actual peril society would be in.

Watermark is wrong as usual. this can be proven by my charts.

No its a fact.

We have all been witness to how very wrong Dixies ascertions have been over the years.

He has a dismal record.

sm YOU were not here.

He fought to defend every failed move Bush made. It took him years to give up the idea that there never were WMDs in Iraq.

The list is very long of the things he said would work when indeed they failed.

I know you have a hard time with facts too though.
