Didn't read that article, but looks like 1823 Texas Rangers had to battle Mexico while the baseball Texas Rangers weren't around until 1971, leaving yet another bad void in D.C sports.
 
I find it amusing that some want the history of our Noble Native American citizens removed from NFL symoblism......in one breath....then suggest they rename the Redskins after the BLACK RACE of people's history....which was generated because of DEMOCRAT bigotry as they segregated the Blacks from the rest of the military.......they allow the Red Man to serve with the whites but the Blacks had to be segregated from all other races in the military.......Now some asshole suggests (almost guaranteed to be a white snowflake) HONORING that BIGORTY of DEMOCRAT history by renaming the REDSKINS after the "TUSKEGEE AIRMEN"......a military unit that existed only because of BIGOTRY AND RACSIM? :bigthink:

As I pointed out.....Logic and Reason are not your cup of tea....no.....comrade? Blacks were "segregated" by the military to serve only with other blacks....the military projected that blacks lacked the same intelligence as whites and it was not safe to have black pilots fly in support of important missions.....on the other hand Native Americans were serving side by side with the whites and given the important mission of coding in order to hide communications from the enemy. Now you want to HONOR the fact that the Tuskegee Blacks were segregated by naming an NFL team after the fact of that history actual.....while removing the honor of naming a Team after the nobility of the RED MAN in how they fought in combat throughout history? You find RED SKIN offensive in pointing out the skin color of a race of peoples.....yet, contradict your supposed logic by demanding the skin color BLACK is honorable and somehow more important than men with RED SKINS and should be used to describe the negro race of peoples.
