Liberals versus Flat Screen TVs

I got a Dynex 42" 1080p energy star LCD.

Fine for watching Lifetime on if that is your gig. Yes I do rate football about the same as the lifetime network. :(

Actually this was my second widescreen. for my bedroom and pretty cheap @ $700 plus tax.

WHAT DO YOU WATCH??

From September to the Superbowl......I watch all I can and am sad when it's gone. College or Pro, it doesn't matter to me, though I do tend to prefer college. But most games are fun ....... even the Colts/Chargers playoff game last Saturday. Loved the game, hated the outcome.

Enjoy then. I just do not care to watch sports. Just abbienormal I guess.

Movies, history channel, PBS, Linktv, Discovery, Veggie tales, Jane and the Dragon, and of course the Beverly Hillbillies on TVLand :D

I take in a few on this list. My kid loves Veggie Tales....even has a CD of thier music. I would have to add that I watch a lot of Andy Griffith on TVLand as well, even though I have most episodes memorized.

OHH yeah I forgot battlebo.... err Barney Fife.

Yet another victim in the high tax, high regulation "progressive" life forced on us by liberal Democrats. Boosting the cost of TVs and ultimately seeing less competition with more models gone. And it won't even stop what it was meant to anyway as people can buy things online, all it does is make life even harder for all.

I know plenty of people who want to buy a flat screen TV, I don't know any who want to buy toys laced with poison. A recall mentioned in the private media and the company issuing an equivalent gift certificate (as happened to me with a Dora toy) is sufficient to solve the problem.

As usual your emo-sillyness fails to be able to contrast similar problems.

Dano, you would complain about people with common sense taking anything damaging off the market. It's the ravages of conservatism.

Companies willfully take bad products off shelves, you see they know that customers don't want them and they don't want to be sued or get bad PR.
Government is not needed here.
It has nothing to do with Conservatism, it's just what works.

Right , that is why the companies took The Madoff scam off the market and the subprime scam as well isn't it?

Lawsuits are taking advantage of one branch of the government and laws.

Glibertarians like Dano prefer regulation through litigation over regulation through legislation. It's really weird.
I don't see it as weird at all, litigation punishes the guilty, legislation punishes all.

I wish that if Liberals were going to go the legislative route that they would at least then control the litigation more, so business isn't double-hammered as most countries this is not the case.
