I actually wouldn't be at all surprised if eventually we do see a real Tankie movement in America for this reason. When times are bad, reactionary movements get popular.

Trump is part of a larger reactionary movement, no question. But in turning America into a shithole, he's opening the door for more reactionary movements. That's what happened in the Weimar Republic. Nazism was a reaction to the growth of Communism, which was a reaction to the economic depression Germany was going through.

But an idea is legit. So it is allowed to organize. It only has a sliver of popular support. Trumplings are too stupid to see
that by calling it out they fertilize and water the seeds. There was not racial upheaval until Trump acted like David Duke.
There was not a guaranteed female black veep until Trump acted like David Duke. I have no problem with all that , because it airs
the linens. But they create in reality what they abhor from the fiction they write. There wasn't a war on Christmas until
they made it. eg eg eg eg etc etc etc

Fox is definitely helping the growth of Socialism by saying EVERY Democrat is a Socialist. But if this actually does lead to a real Marxist movement in America, that won't be anything to celebrate.
