That's beside the point. Christianity and Islam have both had violent histories in the real world. You could say it wasn't "real" Christianity, just like Muslims would say Al-Qaeda doesn't use "real" Islam, but we're talking about history and actions.

A little history actual is in order as some refuse to comprehend the actual history of Christianity. Rome controlled the content of the Bible.....it was reproduced only in LATIN with the Catholic Religious Hierarchy having access to the actual content therein only the elite educated could read from scripture. In fact it was a crime punishable by death for a layperson to possess a copy of the Holy Bible. Rome lost its power and authority to govern the western world with the invention of the printing press when the Holy Bible was translated into the world languages......The World PROTESTED against the tactics used by Rome in controlling all the government seats from ROME.........thus, the Protestant movement or rebellion.

The republic of the Untied States is a direct result of the PROTEST or protestant movement as the people fled to the new world to escape Roman Catholic Rule......to worship as the scriptures dictated instead of how ROME dictated. :bigthink: Our 1st amendment is a result of a Government mandated religion as was the case in all of Europe during the protestant movement......The STATES (who actually drafted and ratified our Bill of Rights made sure there could never be only ONE central religion as even Christianity was divided into different sects such as Baptist, etc., (this is the reason that a Baptist minister addressed Jefferson in a personal letter......he was concerned that certain types of Christianity would be outlawed.....Jefferson replied.....there is a wall that stops such action from taking place...its the 1st amendment.

The 1st amendment does not guarantee FREEDOM "FROM" RELIGIONS........BUT FREEDOM OF ALL RELIGIONS AND THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF. Officially there are "3" major Christian sects existing in the United States (Evangelical Protestantism), (Mainline Protestantism).....of which there are many different sub-sects of Protestantism....and then you have (the Catholic Church)....which has its own translation of the Holy Scriptures. But none can be made superior or inferior to the next. Just like the religion of secular humanism cannot be superior or inferior to all types of religion as FREE EXERCISE is guaranteed.

Not a perfect World, not exactly right.

But, a far crime from the worst crimes.

Protestants clearly killed much more than Catholics.

The British & German Empoires killed a ton more than Catholics ever could.

Yes, some Germans are Catholic, but Nazi Germany was 2/3rd's Lutheran, and 1/3rd Catholic, and Lutheran regions were far more pro-Hitler.

As far as history is concerned, it is. (Though I'd argue that historical discussions of the culture of the "Islamic/Middle Eastern" world are not the same as attempting a direct discussion of "Islam", "Muhammed", key figures, etc itself).
 
Religions result in war and deaths for power and money. We should eliminate them all. That bronze age shit has met its expiration date. It is fostering hate and distrust.
