SANTA FE — Native American activists and their allies used cargo straps and chains to tear down the controversial obelisk that has stood at the center of Santa Fe’s historic Plaza for more than 150 years after an Indigenous Peoples Day rally turned violent.

Not following. Native Americans never liked the monument which referred to them as "savages."

Savages means a primitive society. Native Americans were still a Stone Age people when the Spanish arrived. :palm:
 
I watch Cowboy and Indian Movies. Hollywood misrepresented American Indians.

I have also read the history of how the White man treated Indians and stole their land. White men started scalping and the killing.

I always root for the Indians!
