Do you have to be an ass ALL THE TIME? Seriously,.....would it hurt you to at least act like a normal person every once in awhile? I mean,....I can be one of the biggest assholes on the board myself,.... but not ALL THE TIME. Just no reason for it,...none whatsoever. Open societies like the United States are always vulnerable to people like Trump and his supporters because We, the People support freedom of speech. The Soviet Union never had protests like the US did during the 60s, during the Iraq war and now precisely because the United States is a free and open society. The only way for us to survive as a free nation is to be willing to protect it.

I support all individual rights per the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. This is why I support rights like a woman's right to choose, sexual preference/gay marriage and owning as many guns and as much ammo as someone likes.

Most on this forum know I'm "socially liberal, fiscally conservative". Most know I am a major proponent of Gun Rights. The reason is precisely for the danger we are facing now: A wannabe dictator who has infected people with stupidity like a virus.

My advice is this: Every adult American should buy a gun, learn how to use it and stay proficient with it. We can all hope they never have to use it, but if too many want to ban or heavily restrict guns, it just makes it easier for a wannabe-dictator to destroy our nation, shred our Constitution and put us in a position which would be very difficult to recover. Best, IMO, to never, ever let it happen in the first place.
