WTF is a "just economy'?

What?
Reagan was elected in 1980, it's 2020 = 40 years.
"Corps and jobs have been driven overseas by high taxes and Unions".
So, if that were the case, they got tax cuts, bailouts and subsidies and they still left the US?
So, without unions wages have become flat, that's who built the American middle class, teabaggers have done everything they can do to destroy them.
I'm fortunate, since 1989 I got a $10.00 an hour raise, in 31 years, that's crazy.

Corporate subsidies did not start with Reagan. And what specific corp subsidy are you talking about? ... Obama's Solara? ... the Dem's green tax credits for GE?

Union thugs beat the shit out of the poor and unemployed who wanted their jobs. Unions were only able to thrive here temporarily because after WWII, the U.S. was almost the only place that had the infrastructure to support major manufacturing. That global paradigm has changed. The U.S. no longer has a global monopoly on infrastructure.

The Unions got greedy and priced themselves right out of a job.

Tariffs are a tax on US you idiot,
Correct. A tariff is a tax in goods imported into the United States from certain countries. The people that are importing the goods pay this tax. China also has tariffs. A lot of them.
and immigration laws do nothing
They define the method and procedure for entering the country.
when multinationals outsource labor anyway.
A nonsense statement.

A multinational company is by definition international. It will hire Mexican workers if it has a presence in Mexico. It will hire U.S. workers if it has a presence in the U.S. It will hire Japanese workers if it has a presence in Japan.
A good example is Nintendo, Honda, DuPont, AGFA, General Mills, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.

I don't know about all that. A big part of the appeal of Trump was his claims that the elites were running the economy and the American workers were getting screwed. Bad trade deals, China etc. etc. were hurting America.

Those on the left and right may have differing visions of how they would 'fix' our economy but saying those on the right don't think changes are needed is false.

NAFTA has been successfully renegotiated by Trump to better favor the United States. Lowering business taxes and removing some oppressive regulations on business is bringing companies back to the United States; another Trump action.

So how would an immigration law affect the multinationals hiring where they have a presence? That's why those two things were in the same sentence.

Why?

Don't like avocados from Mexico in the winter? Don't like salmon caught in Canada? Don't like English toffee? Don't think Russia, Japan, and many other nations should be buying our wheat, corn, and rice?

Don't like aspirin that came from German chemists? Don't like Tylenol? Don't like the fact that most medicines are already developed in the U.S.?

The U.S. is almost 50 years behind the state of the art in electronics, thanks to environmental nuts like you. We can't even make tubes anymore. Resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, and most integrated circuits are made overseas in Taiwan, South Korea, or Japan.
There a VERY FEW integrated circuit manufactures in the U.S. Intel makes their stuff in Mexico, Taiwan, and Japan. AMD makes their stuff in the same places.

The U.S. is the world leader in software, however. You don't like that?

Our military is already U.S. only.

Don't like those appliances in your home that are made in Canada in Mexico? Blame idiots like you. Lumber at the local Home Depot comes from local sources, such as the sawmills in Western Washington and Oregon. Those trees are farmed. Gypsum for wallboard comes from the Death Valley area and other desert area sources. The paper comes from scrap wood from local sources and farmed trees (locally farmed). Nails come from just about anywhere, including Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Same with screws. Windows and doors are locally made in most cases. What construction materials are you referring to?

Nah. People like to buy China's bric a brack.

allowing those sectors out of our control is suicidal.

china can have the useless garbage sector, but nothing more.

And who deciedes who gets to live on beachfront property and who lives on top of the old landfill in your libtopia, ... you?

In a way, yes. He can choose to work for a living, form his own company, sell a popular product, and he can live on beachfront property too.
If he's just going to sit there an whine, he can live in the old landfill.

Really?
Canada has no issues.
Germany has no issues.
Italy has no issues.
France has no issues.
England has no issues,
Sweden has no issues.
Israel has no issues.
Australia has no issues.

"massive death, starvation and misery'?
Only seems to be happening in America.
Wonder why.

They dont? You cant REALLY be this stupid I hope.

The problem is you think ANYONE should live on a landfill.

I have no problem with a landfill. I recently put a landfill on one of my properties because otherwise it's swamp. I had to put quite a bit of clean fill on that land to make it buildable. Even so, it's worth it.

OLD landfills get buried and the land is repurposed. :palm:

The problem is, everyone wants to live on prime real estate, but not everyone will fit. As King, how will you decide who gets to live where?

Indeed. Old landfills (solid waste disposal sites) around here have been converted into parks and nature preserves, golf courses, view estates, and shopping centers.

Well, he's a Socialist, not a capitalist. Mr. Badguy will be the judge of who gets what, in his libtopia.

There is no history where everyone had a PHD and a 145.

Hmm. So we can have every American have a high paying job like a doctor, layer, CEO, architect. engineer etc?

No matter what, the Capitalist system based on supply & demand can only provide so many higher paying positions.

Rush has terminal lung cancer and Trump will be out of the White House come Jan 20th. I'm practically already in libtopia lol.
