Will Trump be Reelected via Electoral College or via 12th Amendment ?

Nope. They have not. That is on Jan 6th.

State legislatures do not certify the vote of the electoral college. See Article II.

Yes they do. See Article II and the 12th amendment.

That's voting, moron.

You're the perfect Trump voter, dumber than a box of hammers, full tilt retarded.

Article II section 1 the 12th amendment.

The Electors shall meet in their respective STATES (NOT WASHINGTON DC) and VOTE by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall SIGN and CERTIFY, and TRANSMIT sealed TO the SEAT of the GOVERNMENT of the United States, (WASHINGTON DC) directed to the President of the Senate; -- The President of the Senate shall, IN THE PRESENCE of the Senate and House of Representatives, OPEN all the CERIFICATES and the VOTES shall then be COUNTED; -- The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the PRESIDENT.

This is IBDM/ITK/GFM. Denying an incontrovertible fact.

'The electors voted on December 14th'
'Nope'
'Of course they did, they all met and cast their votes in each state'
'Nope hasn't happened'
'But the results were printed everywhere that day as each state met'
'Nope, nope, no, no, no, no, HEEEE AWWWWW, HEEEEE AWWWWWW'

Perfect.

I'll be posting your psychic prediction on January 21st for all the world to see. Don't be too embarrassed. We all understand how the right wing propaganda works to dupe their followers.

I have to make a correction. I wrote:

A) If they choose the former, Trump wins the electoral college vote.

B) If they choose the latter and therefore no candidate achieves 270 electoral votes on 6 January, then Mike Pence acts as President until the House of Representatives decides the Presidency via the 12th Amendment. Under this scenario, each State receives one vote and Trump wins roughly 30-20.

C) There is no option C.

It would seem that I erred when I wrote:

C) There is no option C.

Apparently the Senate can simply refuse to count the votes from certain States. I don't know if this is Constitutional but it would seem as though the Senate is moving to block/ignore the votes from the contested States ... sending the election to the House, thus increasing the probability that Trump wins via 12th Amendment vs. via the Electoral College.

I just wanted to clear that up.

.

Yeah, I do but teabaggers are literally too stupid to grasp the electoral college has already voted.
It would seem that you are too stupid to grasp that they haven't voted yet. The vote doesn't happen until January 6th. That is in the future. The future hasn't happened yet.

I'll try to dumb this down all the way to your level. Before you vote in an election, you are entitled to fill out a sample ballot one month in advance so that you will already have your choices identified. You can even fold up your sample ballot and seal it in an envelope and tell all your friends that you have "already made up your mind." Regardless, no one has the power to stop you from changing your mind on election day. No one. No one gets to say "Hey, you sealed your sample ballot in an envelope and your mother 'certified' it." Nothing at all matters except for what you declare on the day of the vote.

I hope you aren't so stupid that you cannot even understand this explanation. If you cannot, you need the kind of help that involves the word "therapy."

The State legislatures have plenary power to decide on January 6th which electors vote for the President. They can change their minds one hundred times between now and the 6th. No one gets to say they cannot. No one.

I figured out your problem: Lack of English comprehension.

No one is denying that many irrelevant formalities have occurred.

You are simply in heavy denial that State legislatures have plenary power per the Constitution. How long, exactly, do you plan on denying this?

US Constitution, Article. II. Section. 1.
Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

There is no requirement for any State legislature to commit to any electors in advance. There is no "already voted."

'January 6th hasn't happened yet'
'Yes it has'
'Of course not, that's a couple of weeks away'
'Nope already happened'
'But that's why we don't have the President declared yet.'
'Nope, nope, no, no, no, no, HEEEE AWWWWW, HEEEEE AWWWWWW'

You're the perfect Trump voter, dumber than a box of hammers, full tilt retarded.

Article II section 1 the 12th amendment.

... which lists they shall SIGN and CERTIFY, and TRANSMIT sealed TO the SEAT of the GOVERNMENT of the United States,

Where in the 12th Amendment does it specify that the State legislature doesn't get to change its mind at any point prior to the Jan 6th counting?

The ignorance is yours. The electoral college has set procedures that they follow. They DID vote. It happens in early Dec. I think it was the 14 this year. Their last function is to certify and then put the vote in a sealed envelope and given to congress. That is when their job is done. That is what they did. They are gone, back home. Congress has the function Jan.5th of counting them. That is all that happens that day. It generally rakes about half an hour.
The already certified vote is sealed and sitting in congress under safe keeping. This is a perfunctory exercise, not a vote.

It is true that states can be disqualified.

Congress counts the electoral votes (January 6, 2021)

Also under federal law, a joint session of Congress is required by the 12th Amendment to count the electoral votes and declare the winners of the presidential election. That joint session of Congress is held on January 6, 2021 at 1 p.m.

When the results from each state are announced, a member of the House and Senate can jointly object, in writing, to the election results from that state. The House and Senate then adjourn for up to one hour to consider the objection; if both bodies agree to uphold the objection, the votes are excluded from the election results under the terms of the Electoral Count Act of 1887.

There are several scenarios that could allow for this final vote count to be delayed in Congress. One scenario would be if House and Senate agree to exclude a state’s electoral votes, which would then result in a candidate not having the majority of electoral votes. Another would be a faithless elector causing a tie in the electoral college voting.

The 12th Amendment then calls for run-off or contingent elections in the House (to select a president) and the Senate (to select a vice president). Those elections would need to be finished by 12 p.m. on January 20, 2021 for the next president and vice president to take their oaths of office. If that does not happen, the Speaker of the House would serve as president until Congress certifies a winner of the 2020 presidential election.

Key line, “if House and Senate can jointly object,” meaning agree together, that ain’t happening, doubtful Trump would even get an objecting measure thru the Senate

The ignorance is yours. The electoral college has set procedures that they follow.
The ignorance is yours. All electors march to the beat of their State legislatures. You clearly deny this. You are in La-La-land. At least you know why you are wrong across the board.

They DID vote.
No, they did not. January 6th has not happened yet. Let me know when you realize that time-travel is still only science fiction.

It happens in early Dec.
Nope. The January 6th vote did not happen in early December. You have serious temporal-cognitive issues.

I think it was the 14 this year. Their last function is to certify and then put the vote in a sealed envelope and given to congress. That is when their job is done.
So January 6th will be a huge surprise for you, yes? Am I correct in assuming that you are going to be totally surprised when the vote happens on January 6th? Will you have totally not seen it coming?

You're going to be totally confused, aren't you? [hint: keep your eyes on the State legislatures ... not on the electors or pieces of paper or anything else that isn't a State legislature ... unless you want to be distracted and led astray.

Congress has the function Jan.5th of counting them.
Aaaaah, you did take your eye off the ball. Your use of the word "them" means that you are focusing on little pieces of paper and not on the State legislatures in this process. Now we see the source of your confusion.

I will extend to you the courtesy of directing your attention to the State legislatures of the contested States. You would be wise to pay attention to them ... unless you don't want anything to detract from any glorious meltdown you might be planning for January 6th.

Enjoy!

The electors have voted, December 14th, all that technically happens on January 6th is the Congress receives the votes and does an official count, a formality, well, prior to Trump that is

There are two nutty right wing scenarios floating, one that an objection will be filed regarding a States electoral vote, which means an hour discussion and than a vote, but for the objections to go anywhere both houses would have to agree, which ain’t happened since the Democrats run the House, and it would be surprising if even the Senate agreed

The second really whacky path is that Pence as he opens the electoral results from each State refused to accept certain States votes, opening up a can of worms as to legality via the 12;Amendment

Both paths are laughable, but it matters little, Trump’s goal is to make the day a circus so that he can perpetuate the myth he was robbed

Counting them is correct since the votes of the EC were cast on the 14th, then certified. Their work is done. The envelopes are in the control of the Senate archivist. They will be brought out on the 6th and counted. That is all. No vote that day. None. You are wrong. You are going to be as disappointed this time as you were in all the crazy Trumpian shenanigans that tricked the easily fooled into thinking Trump could steal it. He cannot. This has been over since Nov. 7th.
