SEE IT: Teen bicyclists attack Manhattan BMW driver after boy injured in mishap

Not sure if your justifying hooliganism or excusing it. I bet if that was your car, and mother, in said car you might have a different view.

I am saying THIS HAS HAPPENED IN CITIES AND SMALL TOWNS WHEN PUNK ASS TEENS GATHER TOGETHER FOR THE LAST 70 YEARS AT LEAST...why is this so unusual? what does it have to do with police cuts due to covid slowing down revenue? or with bail being eliminated for most misdemeanor cases IF THE JUDGE APPROVES?

Only the stupidest of bicycle riders try to grab hold of a motorcar because they're too lazy to pedal. Again, they deserve to get busted up.

well, since you cannot read, you are right, you are an idiot, too. from the article YOU POSTED, STUPID...

New York City officials on Tuesday agreed to a grim coronavirus-era budget that will sharply curtail municipal services, impose a hiring freeze and, in a move meant to placate calls to defund the police, shift roughly $1 billion from the Police Department.

The $88.1 billion budget reflected the economic shutdown that followed the outbreak, causing a $9 billion revenue shortfall that forced the city to make drastic across-the-board spending cuts.

Sure enough, the details seemed to please no one, and the budget passed the City Council early Wednesday with more noes than usual, in a 32-to-17 vote.

The city decided to cancel the planned hiring of roughly 1,160 officers, and to shift monitoring of illegal vending, homeless people on the streets and school safety away from the police.

As it now stands, Mr. de Blasio may have agreed to eliminate the incoming July class of officers, but another officer class is still poised to start training in October. The rest of the city’s work force, including teachers — but excepting those in health and safety roles such as firefighters and paramedics — will remain in a hiring freeze for the next year.

“If we have a hiring freeze for every single city agency, that should include the N.Y.P.D.,” Jumaane Williams, the city’s public advocate, said during an appearance Tuesday morning.

Was the police budget cut?

Yes by nearly 1 billion. Diblasio called for it.

Was there bail reform?

Yes there was.

I will take your concession.

No its not normal for kids to attack cars like this, only a lack of fear of being held accountable, in this case bail reform and politcal police budget cuts have embolden those who would do such things.

It's all part of the progressive plan to strip us of our rights and control us. The more crime, the bigger the push to dismantle the 2nd. Amendment, and the 1st, Amendment, and the 4th. Amendment, and...

you are an idiot. there has been no police defunding. there has been no bail reform. you are just unable to think due to your head being so far up Trump's fat chickenshit ass, boy.

Really? Pretty sure Debozo eliminated a billion dollars from police funds. Not a surprise that crime is on the rise in every blue city run by wackjobs.

there were also cuts to education and teachers due to the covid economic downturn trump was responsible for. i think that made those teen age goons act like teen age goons have acted occasionally for the last 70 years or so.

Did you click my last link?

I live here the motive for the defunding of the nypd by diblasio was political not budgetary. The later spin wont change this fact.

From my understanding, the bicyclist is still in intensive care from being intentionally hit by the driver... So I am sure that the driver was scared, but the driver was also guilty of assault with a deadly weapon, and maybe attempted murder.

Link?

This is a direct result of the cuomo/diblasio bail reform fiasco. criminals are not afraid anymore and if you get hurt skitching, there will be no consequences if you attack an elderly couple you tried to skitch on and fucked yourself up.

this is why it is best to have oneself armed

I have no less than two guns on me at any given time when I leave the house always a 9mm and a 380 (either pocket or ankle). Lately I have been keeping my .45 in my truck while driving so I can reach for it easily. Where I conceal carry is not easily reached while seated in a vehicle with a seatbelt on and you never know when these animals will descend upon you.

The minute they bang on your vehicles window they have forfeited their right to breathe. They are violating your constitutional rights. So you have every right to force them to assume room temperature. It is the only way forward

It still appears NYC still isn't as bad as in the 1970s 1980s & 90s.

My Greek American buddy.

Grew up in a section of New Jersey near Manhattan.

In the 70s & 80s he hung out in Times Square a lot in Manhattan.

He had someone chase him in a car shooting at him & someone stick a knife through the car window.

In 2013 I walked around Manhattan for much of a day with a Confederate Battle flag hat on for many hours.

Nothing happened, except a Black dude at McDonald's starred me down & I starred back.

Then he said you're ( Bold)

I don't think I'd do that now though.

I think I'd probably get ganged up on now a days.

I disagree, I feel it better to be trained in something like brazilian jiu jitsu or other grappling art and not carry a gun, why? not because one is better than the other, and while I have 3 CCW's (none are good in nyc or nj), I never felt the need to carry on a consistent basis. it is statistically improbable you are going to ever find yourself needing a gun, but the choice to carry should remain ours.

I do volunteer work in some very rough areas, never felt a need to carry their either, the statistical fact is, if you don't have a criminal record, you are more likely to be shot france than you are here.

My Polish American friend had a shotgun carried behind his seat on his pick up.

Not like he would typically need it though.

He was really huge & strong.
