Is an egg a chicken?

You didn't raise chicks in science class? We did and I grew up in "the city"....
If you don't "want it", you should have made a better effort not to "get it".....Whether you want it or not...it is what it is....
And if you understand that...and you (and others "involved") are ok with that, I guess you do what you're comfortable doing....

Life, like anything else, has only qualitative value, not absolute value which does not exist.
An unwanted child has no quality to its life. Abortion is the humane answer.

I could never experience pregnancy, of course, but I've observed it and it looks absolutely horrific.
First, you look like you swallowed a watermelon seed, and then you walk around with your feet splayed at ten and two so you don't fall down.
Then, you get to squeeze a seven or eight or nine pound creature through your vagina...looks like fun. Do you put cigarettes out on yourself as well?

I could not imagine enduring this for any reason.
Even if you actually want a child, they should have by now come up with some kind of machine than can hatch an in-vitro fertilized egg for you.
Fucking should be just for relaxation and expression of affection, not for procreating.

Imagine going through that bullshit if you DON"T want the baby.
Them we're talking torture, plain and simple.

Yes, contraception should have occurred instead, but in that it didn't, abortion is good for the unwanted baby and good for the reluctant mother.
Opposing it is the ultimate in both misogyny and child abuse.
Opposing it over religious superstitions brings it into the realm of insanity.

One, I was raised in the city, not in fucking Bald Knob.
Two, what the fuck difference does it make what it is if you don't want it.?

If you don't want to follow the science here, then don't expect anyone else to follow "the science" when you find it more convenient to force them to do what you want. If we cannot have a conversation about something clearly defined by science then there is no use in holding the conversation when deliberate ignorance has been added.

What something is doesn't change if you want it or not. It simply defines the parameter of the conversation, let's stick with facts and science rather than feels and ignorance. It makes for a better conversation and makes for less hypocritical nonsense later when you want them to follow "the science" in a different conversation.

They are babies... just unborn babies....
It's apparently not "about science" (except for you)...just about whether or not the unborn are "wanted"...or not....

Actually the scientific term is "fetus". But people still prefer to call it unborn baby.

Let's assume an unborn embryo or fetus is a living thing, regardless of host-dependence.
I'll stipulate that the present state of science should indeed be acknowledged, whatever that may be.
Now switching from the disciplines of science to logic, how does it matter?

Why force anybody to endure a miserable fucking pregnancy to drop an unwanted person with no prospects for a happy life?
Here we go even beyond logic to humanity itself.
So-called Pro-Lifers are all misogynists who should themselves be euthanized as they are a cancer on humanity.

As I said..."wanted" or "unwanted" seems to be the "reasoning". to take "action"...not science......(extremes on both side, unfortunately...)
Pregnancy isn't that bad;)....there are those here with multiples...wonder who has experienced the most "torture"...that might explain some things....lol

Somebody asked if something was a chicken. I gave an answer. From that answer you assume a whole bunch of nonsense and go off on a profanity filled rant that has nothing to do with the topic.

Pointing out that an embryonic chicken is a chicken does not even hint to you what my opinion about abortion is. It doesn't tell you what I would do, what I think we should do as a society, how valid or valuable I think an embryonic human might be, what I think you should do with your personal embryonic human, or anything like that.. because it simply has not addressed that.

Now, do you want to start over without all the ignorant assumption? We can also stick to the topic at hand. If there is an embryo in that chicken egg, is it an embryonic chicken or do you think it is magically something else?

OK. Got it.
Here's where I say, of course, that I don't give a flying fat fuck about what a fertilized egg is.
I should have left the discussion to the interested.
I admit to a mistake.
Like others on the thread, I assumed it was a discussion about abortion.

Hello Darth,

You just proved my point lol.

A fertilized chicken egg is *a chicken* in the embryonic stage of development.

True or false?

I shall answer your question in the utmost of honesty.

It is true.

But who said the egg was fertilized?

You did.

Are all eggs fertilized?

Answer me truthfully, please, sir, as I have you?

Actually they pretty much win after 14 weeks.

All eggs aren’t fertilized.

But if a fertilized chicken egg *is a chicken* then it follows that a fertilized human egg is a ________.

Of course it does. The unborn baby "wins" once it crosses the finish line at 26 weeks. ;)
Even prior to that...again..."Unwanted" or "wanted"...that's the final "determiner" according to most here... so if your mom or dad or both don't want you, you're pretty much doomed....
This isn't about science...or heartbeat... or stages.... or babies....

The "babies" are pretty much safe after 14 weeks. ;)

Even if we do progress the conversation into whether or not a zygotic human or an embryonic human is still human life, it still would not tell you how much I would value such a life so early in its development or what I think should be done with such a life or (especially so) whether I want women (or men who were assigned female at birth) to be forced to incubate an embryo.
