Virginia cops pepper-sprayed Black and Latino Army officer

From what I understand, he was originally pulled over for not having a rear license plate. Turns out, he had a temp plate taped inside the rear window, which was illegally tinted. He also kept driving to a well lit area, which was actually perfectly legal as long as it's less than a mile, but may have triggered the cops to a higher state of alertness. All that being said, why did this moron NOT obey the lawful commands of the cops? I sincerely hope this clown is the base soda machine officer and not in a position to lead troops in combat.

What insurrection? And fuck floyd, who was also an idiot and probably an academy or OCS classmate of nazario.

Better yet, there's nothing illegal about you owning your very own police body cam! The alternative is doing EXACTLY what the what the guy in the uniform, with the badge on it, and carrying a cornucopia of fiendishly painful(and potentially deadly)implements of compliance, tells you to do.

What insurrection?

I watched the story on this at NBC News. They said the vehicles windows were tinted and there was no License plate. Later, they said it took the driver a full minute to pull over after the Police lights came on.
It comes down to asking the Driver to get out of the car ... since with tinted windows no one can see into the car.
Rather than simply exiting the vehicle, this guy plays 'Stupid' and just keeps mouthing the words "What's going on?".
'What's going on?' He's being stopped for tinted windows*and no License plate.

By refusing to get out of the vehicle, this guy is just escalating the situation. The longer he refuses to get out of the vehicle, the more suspicious he seems.
A minute? That's about what it takes to pull slow down, go up the block and pull into a well lit gas station.

$20 wager, loser donates the money to JPP in the winners name. I'm betting Nazario wins a settlement. One cop has been fired and as soon as the Mayor figures out how to tell his Aunt or Uncle, the cousin will be fired too.

That would be a sucker bet!!!!! The man was in uniform and from all accounts complying with orders.

Not to mention no charges were filed despite all the bullshit claims of resisting arrest, blah, blah, blah.

The threat the cops made to not say anything is the clincher. No wonder one has already been fired.

You can win a bet on how BAC will react, always full of piss and bile!

I'll bet that you are too much of a chickenshit to admit that King Rama X is a fucking child-raping psycho who should be in prison. Is $20 too rich for your blood? LOL

I have to agree with you, Jack.
Did it mention if he showed an ID? With no license plate, it would be routine to check the VIN # which is found on the inside of the windshield on the dash to make sure the car isn't stolen, so it would be normal to ask the occupant to exit the car so the cop could shine the flashlight on it. Nobody want's a 6 D-cell flashlight shining in their eyes!

Down here it's illegal to have tinted windows, maybe Virginia is the same. So ... here's a vehicle, that has 'tinted' windows, and no License plate.
1. That would mean it's a 'legal' stop.
2. They have no idea who is inside.
3. Why isn't this person stepping out of the vehicle?

I am amazed at how racist many police are. I guess being a career GI sheltered me from the reality of racism in this country.

Anyone have video of the lack of license plate on the vehicle? It's been put out there in this thread but the OP video didn't show the back of the vehicle.

If this man is truly active duty then I'm having a hard time believing he didn't have a license plate.

The Police Report mentions there is a 'Temporary Tag'. (maybe on the 'tinted' window, but can't be seen?)

He refused MULTIPLE requests from the Police to exit the vehicle. The police issued a LAWFUL order and the driver was bound to obey it.

This jerk was looking for a confrontation and a payday.

:) That's kind of how I see it. If the guy was 'White', would any of this be Front Page news?

If this happened to a White guy ... I doubt Guno would see a problem in the Traffic stop.

I certainly would still have a problem with the traffic stop. The conduct of the police officers was criminal. Windsor probably doesn't have much money, but they certainly have insurance, so Lt. Nazario will have a nice settlement for the pain and suffering those to assholes inflicted upon him.

The tag became visible in the light of the gas station. Still not justification to come out guns drawn and spraying chemical agents.

He was a military officer being abused by two podunk cops. Yes. Note that the city of Windsor hid the video until it was subpoenaed.

Yeah. If this guy is an Officer, I hope he gets a bunch of "What's going on?" types that refuse to obey his Orders.

Being a 'Black Victim' could lead to a PayDay. Dutch, if Lt. Nazario gave you an Order, would you follow it? Or just stand there and ask repeatedly "What's going on?".

IF you didn’t see this coming you may be from another planet.

Yes. The Tragedy, the Indignation, the Audaciousness of being asked to 'step out of the vehicle'. He'll probably be scared for life.

You have the right to know why you’re being pulled over .. or is that only for white guys like yourself?

I think the Pepper Spray only came out after the guy refused to get out of the vehicle. Dutch, how would YOU get the guy out of the vehicle?
