Meanwhile, in DEMOCRAT-dominated Blue York Shitty...

A Blue York Shitty Councilwoman says she will look to introduce legislation designed to crack down on unsafe rooftop parties after a woman fell to her death over the weekend in Manshattan.

DEMOCRAT Councilmember Carlina Rivera represents the East Village, where 24-year-old Cameron Perrelli fell from a rooftop early Saturday. Police said they were told Perelli fell from the top of building on Avenue A near East 12th Street just after 3 a.m.

Responding officers found her unconscious, and she was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where she was pronounced dead. An investigation into her death is ongoing. Investigators said she fell while attending a party.

Rivera is looking to craft legislation that would require landlords to make sure all outdoor spaces are safe. She said in a tweet on Sunday that she and others were looking to craft a plan that would involve "going after landlords who profit from their neglect."

$2,663 @ MONTH

In Lost Angeles, DEMOCRAT city officials grappling with an ongoing homelessness crisis have turned to an idea that for decades was politically unpopular and considered radical: a government-funded tent encampment.

Other cities, including Tran Franshitsco and Sheattle, have opened similar programs in recent years. But the high public cost of LA's first sanctioned campground — more than $2,600 per tent, per month — has advocates worried it will come at the expense of more permanent housing.

The campsite opened in late April on a fenced-in parking lot beside the 101 freeway in East Hollywood. The lot-turned-campground can accommodate up to about 70 tents in 12-by-12-foot spots marked by white squares painted on the asphalt.

According to a report by the city administrative officer, the new East Hollywood campground costs approximately $2,663 per participant per month. That's higher than what a typical one-bedroom apartment rents for in the city.

Police in Portland, Oregon, declared a riot Tuesday night, making arrests after rioters smashed windows and threw objects at officers on the one-year anniversary of George Floyd's death, according to authorities.

A crowd of roughly 200 people – many dressed in black – gathered outside the city's Multnomah County Justice Center. Some lit a dumpster on fire and tagged the justice center with graffiti, while others yelled, "Burn the building down".

The crowd also threw frozen water bottles and eggs at officers, along with metal spikes in the road.

Later, the crowd marched to City Hall and broke windows. Around 10 p.m., a riot was declared.

Marchers later smashed the windows of local businesses, including a Starbucks shop and a Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the Oregonian reported.

Those are peaceful protests.
Wake up and smell their coffee.

Riots (insurrections as they call it) only happen at the capitol...
