The "nothing to see here people" are without question complete idiots, Owl.

What frightens me are the "nothing we can do now' people.

They could possibly be right. We may have missed the boat on fixing things.

I don't have grandkids, but you do.
We need to fear for their future.

They just can’t conceive it,” he said.

That's going to be a terrible loss.

And the Florida Everglades, too, will be tragically impacted.

Not to mention that a lot of Florida's coast has low level barrier islands which would be inundated.

Miami has some very low lying areas.

Many people will be moving out of Florida.

Florida will lose Congressional seats, and lose power.

Quite a few residents of Florida think of the Everglades as extremely creepy and drive through it as fast as possible.

Same w/ Louisiana.. The massive silt dump is closed off which kept feeding those tiny islands & bayous are sinking/washing away :dunno:

True. There have been efforts to reverse the damage, but once again, the costs of capitalism fall upon the taxpayer.

Many many canals were dredged for the oil business. The companies have long since gone, those who owned them made their money, handed it down to succeeding generations. There is no one left to make pay for the environmental disaster but we the people.
