A prediction about the sad future of conservatism in America!

nobody knew Obama's name 3 1/2 yrs before he got elected.
I do think it will turn, but if the economy sucks Obama is done in 12

Alright, get this. The Washington Times, New York Post, and all of the other conservative propaganda outlets (save Fox) have all lost millions and millions of dollars. By some estimates, the Washington Times has lost BILLIONS. These people have never made a dime. The owners are throwing away millions every year to keep them afloat. They can't survive in the free market. They simply don't have the readership to support them. They are entirely dependent on the millions and millions of dollars being flushed down the toilet every yet by the owners.

Alright, most of these guys are pretty old. A death, a divorce, or just a loss of patience means these things are going to fold immediately. That means a huge collapse of the conservative propaganda machine that is responsible for what little power they have managed to hold on to.

You see people from the Washington Times and New York Post quoted all the time. I saw one of their people sitting next to some actually respected journalists on a Sunday political show just this week. When these things go, the future does not look bright for the conservatives.

My prediction -- within 10 years the propaganda machine that allows conservatives to create the impression of having a legitimate viewpoint will collapse for financial reasons and the GOP will be history.

Never underestimate the cowardice of centrists and the Democratic Party.

Hey Ib1Dumbass, the SeattlePI, one of the most liberal rags in the country, went under a couple of months ago, and is now an online only medium. LOLZ.

Ya know that's the difference between America and China.

In America, everyones looking for a party! :)

In China, the party is looking for you! :(

I know, but we are the failure, right! Talk about party, on the Kenai this weekend, dip-netting!!!! Hop a plane and come join the fun...the weather looks promising, the fishing won't be as good, but there is plenty of food, conversation, and fun. The liquor does flow, but only after the boats have been put to bed, then the cards come out and the BS stories. I am joining some hockey players, so it will be crazy!

Isn't the plural for Moose, Meese and not Moose's?

Hey, I watched my Bullwinkle!!

Well, you have to watch it, you don't know if people have been educated in Bullwinkleology! The correct form is Meese Tooth or at least after two Darth's Delirium.

First tap tonight and the Wailers are playing! I will be there with my dancing shoes on and primed! I am excited to see what they are releasing for Summer!
Their beer is award winning!

Never underestimate the cowardice of centrists and the Democratic Party.

Arrrrggghhhh, I think it is time to go back on vacation. Hiking in the Rockies has a way of making you forget the rat race. I should move, buy a plot of land and raise grapes in Northwest Colorado or grow herbs in Durango!

For the idiots who can't understand the difference:

The PI was at one time a profitable enterprise. None of the conservative newspapers ever turned a dime of profit. They were founded SPECIFICALLY for the purpose of spreading conservative propaganda. That's a big difference between them and a real journalistic enterprise.

An HONEST person would recognize that normal newspapers have nothing in common with the Washington Times. One sets out to intentionally spread a point of view, the other one attempts to be objective.

And yet; PI is no longer and what were the chances of that happening, statiscally speaking??:cof1:

it doesn't make a lick of difference if their purpose was to spread propaganda in your analysis....you fail to realize that it doesn't matter if they want a profit or not, ALL newspapers and other media sources have bias...the NY times has from the start been a liberal rag, are you actually claiming that was just by "accident" rather than on purpose? hell, if you take a history and read up on the history of journalism, most every publication at the turn of last century was labeled "yellow journalism"

this faux outrage over a conservative newspaper that started in order to COUNTER liberal propaganda rings hollow and fake

The Washington Times is of no importance to Conservatives.....

The Times changed some of its style guide to conform more to mainstream media usage. The Times announced that it would no longer use words like "illegal aliens" and "homosexual," and in most cases opt for "more neutral terminology" like "illegal immigrants" and "gay," respectively. The paper also decided to stop using "Hillary" when referring to Senator Hillary Clinton, and the word "marriage" in the expression "gay marriage" will no longer appear in quotes in the newspaper.

Thus, they lost their backbone to report the truth, using the correct words and decided to gain acceptance by moving to the left....so....who gives a shit about them...

A homosexual is a homosexual....not "gay"......
A non US citizen entering the country without our governments knowledge or permission, is here illegally....thus is an " illegal alien "......
And "gay marriage" (homosexual marriage) is a fiction.....

If they refused to print truth, why bother reading it..???

There's a huge difference between intentional, institutional bias like what you find at Fox and WT and the kind of bias you find at real newspapers who go to great lengths to deliver objective news.
