Kyle Rittenhouse deserves an award for his melodramatic performance on the witness st

If he had been Black, he would have a long criminal record, but he burst into tears, and everyone forgave his little baby face.

If he had been black, his victims had been black and this happened on a random weekend in Chicago would you even know about it, much less care?

My wife, one of the best interrogators in the Army, very very good at reading people, is 100% sure that this was a performance.

It actually was not quality....it was poorly done.

Obviously Kyle's lawyers prepared him but does your wife believe his emotional breakdown was planned and not spontaneous?

I saw a lot of fear and regret in his breakdown. I believe he really did fear for his life.

OTOH, he also put himself in that situation and several adults put him in that situation, including the Kenosha PD.

Yea a couple of months later Kyle Rittenhouse hoists beers with Proud Boys at Wisconsin bar

Rittenhouse went to Pudgy's Pub in Mount Pleasant following his arraignment and while there he was seen flashing an "OK" hand sign associated with white supremacist groups.

At the bar, a group of five adult men reportedly serenaded Rittenhouse with a rendition of "Proud of Your Boy".

The song, initially written for the 1992 Disney movie Aladdin, has become an anthem for members of the Proud Boys.

We saw that yesterday. And the Oscar goes to Rittenhouse for Best Fake Breakdown on the Stand of 2021! Runner-up: Mommy.

The judge is clearly biased. He did not clear the court for that stunt, but yelled at the PA for his line of questioning.

After his prison sentence on the other charges? I expect Kyle will need the money when he gets out in 10-15 years.

Which charges do you think will get him sentenced to 10-15 years? The case might even be dismissed with prejudice due to the prosecutor's blatant misconduct.

She's 100% right, too. Light-skinned people, when they really weep, flush. Notice that his nose isn't even red, and there are no tears. Same with mommy. I wonder how much practice he had ahead of time?

Could be a mistrial, with or without prejudice.

I bolded the charges below that Kyle will probably be convicted. The last weapons charge is a misdemeanor worth 9 months in prison, but since it was used in felony, IIRC, there's a 5 year mandatory charge added to it if convicted on any of the other charges.

The jury has to vote on each of the six charges, not a straight up or down vote overall.

Rittenhouse six charges:

  • first-degree reckless homicide against Joseph Rosenbaum, punishable by imprisonment of up to 65 years
  • first-degree recklessly endangering safety against Richard McGinnis (a reporter who interviewed Rittenhouse before the shooting), punishable by imprisonment for up to 17 years
  • first-degree intentional homicide against Anthony Huber, punishable by a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole
  • attempted first-degree intentional homicide against Gaige Grosskreutz, punishable by imprisonment of up to 65 years
  • first-degree recklessly endangering safety against an unknown male victim, punishable by imprisonment of up to 17 years
  • possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18 (the only misdemeanor charge, the others are felonies)

Not a lawyer, but I suspect there are Federal charges about transporting weapons across state lines intending to commit a crime. If the Judge declares a mistrial with prejudice then he's punting to the Feds.
