Kyle Rittenhouse deserves an award for his melodramatic performance on the witness st

My EQ level isn't always optimal but he struck me as having a real emotional breakdown in initially reliving the trauma of his fears.

I have no doubt he was scared shitless that night and in fear of his life. He's also 100% responsible for putting himself in that position.

He's scared shitless all right -- of going to prison. Guno's OP is correct: Those were crocodile tears and the performance wouldn't even get an honorable mention at the awards ceremony. Hopefully he will be having more opportunities to be scared shitless and cry *real* tears.

I wonder if Geraldo feels the same way about people interjecting themselves in possible domestic violence situations, or protecting his own property?

Is this going to be a new Dem keystone on crime prevention, by making it illegal to protect people and property?

I have faith the jurors can see the difference between protecting one's home and going hunting in the streets of America.

Kyle's "brother" Dominic is facing his own problems: https://www.jsonline.com/story/news...tates-case-kyle-rittenhouse-trial/6244050001/
Black has been charged with two counts of intentionally giving a dangerous weapon to someone under 18, resulting in death. His lawyer sought to have the case dismissed in May, then it seemed to stall, and is now scheduled for a status hearing in late November, after the Rittenhouse trial.

I think Kyle will be going to prison, but not for life.

Unlike Florida did with Zimmerman, Kyle isn't being overcharged and there are multiple charges against him.

While I think Zimmerman should have done time for his actions resulting in a death*, like Kyle, he was clearly defending himself at the time he used his weapon. Politics forced the prosecutors into an untenable position with Zimmerman. Kyle isn't so lucky.

*inserting himself into a situation requiring the use of deadly force.

I'm still queasy about subjecting a kid that age to the horrors of penitentiary life.

Call me a softy, but I say, put the poor bastard to sleep instead. Maybe his mom, too.

I think his crying was real

He began crying when he thought of the fear he felt for himself

Sociopaths feel for themselves

The people he killed and maimed feared for their lives in that moment too

They acted anyway to protect others from this stupid boy

The right only cares about racists fear of being killed

Non racists don’t get to fear gun toting racists or use it as an excuse to kill people

even if he's somehow convicted on the gun charge, what in the world makes you believe he's going to get more than a year, if he even gets that since he was a minor?

I believe in most states that age 17 is the cut-off between being a minor and being considered an adult when it comes to criminal behaviors, including murder.
