CRT - what is it you object to.

Hello Jarod,

Conservatives want the blinders on.

They fear the truth about our past. They are too ashamed to face up to it.

Bite the bullet is the only way to move past it. The more you hide from the reality the more it festers.

What, exactly, is being taught about slavery in the United States that scares and offends you?

Idk, what is being taught? Give me an example, pls.

I know I heard about exercises where they're grouping kids in the classroom by race and doing roleplay.

That's insanity. Any kind of grouping anyone by race is racism.

Oh! and telling the black kids they're the oppressed and the whiter ones are the oppressors. In real history, it wasn't even like that so it's all bullshit.

Blacks and Indians owned slaves too.

The bulk of slaves and indentured servants were Black, Irish, Chinese, and German, in that order by numbers.

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

Are you kidding me? There's a teacher nark hotline in Virginia? What do you want to bet it's being used by Reichwinger parents with substandard kids who are pissed when their kid gets poor grades?

They just don't want junior coming home asking difficult questions or saying objectionable things like: 'Wow, no wonder blacks are so poor. Look what we've done to them!'

To all Republicans and Conservatives. Words have meaning, there is power in words. From this day forward we should no longer ever refer to CRT as CRT. Instead we need to call it what it REALLY is......CRT/Reparations. We need to link the two together because that is IN FACT what it is. The truth is always the best policy.

CRT is dead. CRT/REPARATIONS is the new descriptive going forward. As it should be. Keep that reparations part right at the forefront of our citizens minds so they know exactly what they are REALLY dealing with.

Hello Jarod,

This is coming from people who don't want to face up to it when they make a mistake, and can never admit it when they are wrong.

They don't want America to collectively face up to the fact that it was a mistake to enslave other humans, and it was wrong. And racism is wrong, too. That's what scares them.

No, they don't want children coming home and asking why they were separated by "oppressor and "oppressed."

And why their parents were intimidated by the FBI and called domestic terrorists for wanting to have input into their children's education.

I understand the Republicans have beta tested the phrase Critical Race Theory and it sounds scary when said in a certain way but do you even understand what it is? What is it exactly that you object to? Because in response Florida has legislation pending that will prevent teachers from providing information that might make make students uncomfortable.... (Education should sometimes make students uncomfortable) Virginia has a hotline where you can report teachers you suspect are teaching something controversial.

Where do we draw the line?

Why are these people such snowflakes?

Why are we afraid of our children knowing the truth?

Do we want to give our kids propaganda or the truth about who we are?

It is the 21st century version of the Willie Horton ads.

No Deplorable here ever even heard of CRT, or posted about it, until rightwing media personalities ordered them to act outraged about it.

Wrong.....Most of us heard about CRT when Obama was first running for POTUS when old footage of him came out where he was talking about it back on his campus.

Correct...especially the little ones...The posters denying that this isn't happening in schools haven't been in one for decades....but let them .. They're here...not involved IRL...And That's being handled....

They can’t even give an example of what they don’t want taught… all they know is the code word.

Right, they took that and focus group tested it, when it scared rich uneducated white people they ran with it.

It was Tucker.

He pushed a snowball down the mountain of racism.
