Weak Sanctions Will Not Stop Anything, Brandon

This pResident cannot get anything right. Sanctions should be put on Countries before the invasion and then we tell them we will remove them if they act like responsible world citizens and don't annex portions of neighboring countries. This idea that we can't really sanction some nation now because then we wouldn't have the threat of sanctions later is just weak BS.

This idea that sanctioning the parts of the Ukraine that Russia just annexed will stop Russia from sending "peacekeepers" into more of the Ukraine is preposterous.

Now is the time for actual definitive action, not pretending we have "more better sanctions" to levy later if you don't stop here....

This is a weak argument. Sanctions before OR after is never a rule - it's much more nuanced than that. Sanctions before an invasion can also take away any leverage we have against Russia, and be twisted into providing a justification for their actions.

Threatened sanctions is not leverage. At the point they annexed another territory this pResident sanctioned the territory they annexed... Just that. It's a frickin' joke.

If the sanctions are so powerful they will change Putin's actions they need to be levied at this moment and removed at the moment they leave the Ukraine territories they just annexed not after they've taken over Kyiv and flipped the bird at Brandon's threats.

Damocles is a well known Trump-worshipper and Putin-cock sucker.

Trump consistently opposed sanctions on Russia, and only had to grudgingly sign off on them when they had overwhelming, bipartisan, veto proof support in Congress.

That's a linear view of how sanctions work.

We're talking about getting 30+ countries to act. Do you think Putin is not capable of understanding the ramifications of sanctions that haven't been fully implemented yet?

The admin is doing the right thing. With each Putin escalation, they escalate the sanctions. If he felt comfortable invading, he would have by now. Biden has made it much harder for him to make that decision.

Oh, I agree. This is something we should have let Europe handle. US interests in the Ukraine are non-existent. IMHO, This is Brandon's attempt to get folks to like him again by pretending he's "strong".

This is an absurd defense of Brandon's weak and listless foreign policy where his threat has no punch and the lines in the sand move. Russia is doing what he said they should not, Brandon's response, punish the areas that Russia Annexed. That will show him!
