It is true that any threat made on the President, even in jest, can and has resulted in investigations. I would not test this theory.

There are different rules for talking about the president and about everyone else.

If I threaten to kill you on here, you might be able to get me prosecuted and you might not. But ask KingRaw what happens if you threaten to kill the president. lol

I can't find any article that lists the man's name or says that he was arrested. The Secret Service can detain people (if I am not mistaken) if they feel they are a threat. It is not an arrest, and the person will be released.

If he was arrested there will be a public record. Is there any record of an arrest?

No, I stated that I think it is "bad" and "immoral" to wish death upon another. Then I repeated it.

After both times I then added an extra bit that was off-topic but one that I really wanted to stress.

This was the addendum: Immoral or not, "more immoral" or not, whether you agree with it or not, it is not a good idea to threaten the life of the President.
