President Obama has made a special effort since taking office to repair relations with the world's Muslims, including visits to Turkey and Cairo.

In a speech in the Egyptian capital, as well as in Turkey, President Obama said: "America is not and never will be at war with Islam."

As an integral component of the effort to restore America to the community of nations, President Obama hosted a dinner celebrating Ramadan and also released a video message to Muslims before the start to Ramadan.

The contribution of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country.

The Bush legacy of bombing Muslim women and children and torture will be a stain on our nation for centuries. With conciliatory gestures we can show the world that we are truly sorry for the atrocities committed by Bush/Cheney.

You can't repair the damage with speeches.

Obama is on the exact same course that Bush was on in regards to war and protecting what's left of the American empire. The "war on terror" or whatever flavor du' jour the Obama Administration is calling it, is a fraud and the rest of planet earth knows it. He's still sending troops to Iraq.

The Bush legacy of bombing innocent people is a shitstain on our history .. but so is our bombing of innocents in Afghanistan today .. bombs with Obama's name on them.

At some point dude you have to decide which brand you have more loyalty to .. America or the DNC.

President Obama has voiced a commitment to a new beginning between America and Muslims around the world.

We must engage Muslims and Muslim-majority nations on the basis of mutual interest and mutual respect.

Many Muslims hate America because they saw Bush's "War on Terror" as a war on Muslims.

Bush killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis with weapons of mass destruction (which did not exist) as his excuse , and he preached democracy, but supported corrupt dictators and rulers.
