What we say on these threads and posts is NOT the same as a member of Congress openly heckling the President during a Joint Session with the slur of "liar".

Big difference....a breach of protocol that members of both Houses agreed to, subject ot censure. Now Wilson immediately apologized....but today he hedged that by stating he did so AFTER getting the verbal beat down by GOP power structure.

Calling anyone a liar on these threads will only get you a bunch of retorts, sour grapes and maybe a few points.

And the occasional "boo" and other "harrumphs" has been done to all Presidents by House members since Nixon's time. But you'd be hard pressed to prove the "liar" accusation by a Dem in recent times. That novelty is the sole possession of a member of the neocon GOP.

Bottom line: once again, the neocon GOP demonstrates to the world it's sheer hypocrisy when it can't get it's way.

Actually, it's YOU who are stating that everyone is using Wilson's mindfart to silence objection to Obama's healthcare reform. Everyone else is pointing out how this act was a part of a growing mindset in the neocon world, as demonstrated by the town hall disruptions that were barely reprimanded by GOP leadership.

Obama said it best....stop the bullshit, get your act together and let's sit down with some REAL proposals and alternatives.

The man scored....deal with it.

So the Republican candidate makes a spectacle of himself, which galvanizes support of his opponent...and Yurtle tries to twist that as the opponents failure? And the same public spectacle is translated by Yurtle as the DEFINING incident that will get a bill that hasn't even been fully overhauled and presented passed? Man, I've GOT to get what Yurtle is smoking!

the political war is never won with a single battle... it is the cumulative effect of many battles that wins the day.... and, because of that, guys like Joe Wilson need to be held up to the voters as just one more - of many - reasons that they need to denounce the republican party.
