Physician Sentenced for Part in January 6 Insurrection

the NYT, CNN and NPR have said the courts held their states election procedures were unconstitutional.......FloridaFan says its a lie.......

Some of the procedures were unconstitutional, that not the same as what you stupidity keep claiming. You know that, thus it’s a LIE!

If this is really the case, these people are dumber than I thought. They still get a lawyer, have fines and court costs even if you plead guilty.

Agreed they get lawyers and fines. Most have mental issues despite the fact most don't or can't use an insanity defense.

Dr. Gold is clearly a wackadoodle. NFW would I go to her for medical advice. Like Dr. Gold, most of Insurrectionists had financial problems. I believe there's a correlation between their mental issues and financial problems but that remains to be analyzed.

In Gold's case, she's also a scammer following in Trump's footsteps: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/975755
Prosecutors accused Gold of trying to profit from her crime, according to AP reports, noting in a court filing that America's Frontline Doctors has raised more than $430,000 for her defense. "It beggars belief that Gold could have incurred anywhere near $430,000 in costs for her criminal defense: after all, she pleaded guilty — in the face of indisputable evidence — without filing a single motion."

In the past, Gold has worked at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Santa Monica, California, and Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. These institutions have disassociated themselves from her. Her medical license remains active, but she noted on her website that she "voluntarily refused" to renew her board certification last year "due to the unethical behavior of the medical boards." Gold is also a licensed attorney, having earned a law degree in health policy analysis at Stanford Law School.

A majority of the people arrested for Capitol riot had a history of financial trouble
https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...surrectionists-jenna-ryan-financial-problems/
Nearly 60 percent of the people facing charges related to the Capitol riot showed signs of prior money troubles, including bankruptcies, notices of eviction or foreclosure, bad debts, or unpaid taxes over the past two decades, according to a Washington Post analysis of public records for 125 defendants with sufficient information to detail their financial histories.

again?......okay, the use of unsupervised drop boxes is not possible under the state constitutions (PA).......the state election board lacked the power to change election procedures set by the legislature because the constitution reserves that power to the legislature(WI and reaffirmed by the WI supreme court).....
Lie

and now the courts have determined the election was unconstitutional.....what a shame......we could have avoided all the crap that we are going through if you had just paid attention in December......
Another lie from you. Trump lost. Everyone knows it except the insane and Satanic cocksuckers.

churches in my denomination......

How many Satanic temples are in your denomination?

Yep. they pay fines. At a reduced rate compared to those who go to trial and lose. Plus all the attorney fees.

There was no point in this person doing that. She had over $400,000 raised for her legal costs from donations.

IMO she most likely pleaded guilty to lesser offenses to avoid being sentenced for far longer for the more serious offenses. She knew she was hosed.

Yes, and having the lesser charges may help her keep her licenses. She broke no rules for keeping them.

She claims to have not renewed her board certification. No doubt there are plenty of fucking morons willing to pay her for bleach injections and Ivermectin suppositories.

That's up to the licensing agency in the state where she got them. In Missouri, similar offenses and sentencing would lead to the loss of a nursing license. They are just as tough on physicians. I don't know about the bar though; maybe they are more lenient. Because the gods know we need more criminal lawyers, eh? lol

My guess is she'll be snapped up by some RWNJ media site and become a talking head on there, always being referred to as "doctor" even if she loses her license.

Lots of people plead guilty or no contest to avoid lawyer, fines and court costs

Of course people would prefer to plead guilty, and spend 60 days in jail to avoid paying for an attorney. But of course this lady was fined also. Do you ever think anything other than stupidity?

We'll see, but I don't think she should lose her practice if she's a good physician. It's not like there's a shortage of medical workers or anything...
