so you're saying the prosecutors will have to prove their case with their own evidence?.........that's obviously a massive challenge.....

Even a total asshole like pigfucker Trump does not have to incriminate him/herself.

if the Justice Department cannot find sufficient evidence without Trump's self-incriminating help, then they failed miserable at their job.

I hope that this will not be the case and don't think that it will be. If they don't get him, it will be because they tanked for him.

Yeah, six years after making the original comment. It's called "moving the goalposts."

Trumpers are dishonest. This thread proves it.

FWIW, just because the followers of a pedophile, lying traitor are on the Right Wing doesn't mean all conservatives are bad. Like Pelosi has repeatedly said, "this country needs a strong Republican Party. Not a cult."

Trump is a criminal who deserves to face American justice for his multiple crimes across the land.

Trump pleaded the Fifth more than 440 times

Former President Donald Trump, during his deposition in New York on Wednesday, ended up pleading the Fifth more than 440 times, per NBC News....

...Trump declined to answer questions during a Wednesday deposition at the office of New York attorney general Tish James. James is investigating whether Trump's company, the Trump Organization, violated banking, insurance, and tax laws and if it engaged in financial fraud....

....After the deposition, Trump made a post on Truth Social, declaring that he was leaving the Attorney General's office.

"A very professional meeting. Have a fantastic company with great assets, very little debt, and lots of CASH. Only in America!" Trump wrote.

Trump famously declared in the past that only members of "the mob" would take the Fifth.

"You see the mob takes the Fifth," he said in April 2018. "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"

Trump is a well-known gaslighter. The fact he mentions how well TrumpCo is doing means the SS Trump ship is sinking.

Attempted negative proof fallacy. Gaslighting. Trolling. TDS.

Trump's lawyers know he will lie under oath or perjure himself if he attempts to answer any questions.

The problem with lying 300 times a day is that it's impossible to keep track of your lies. That's Trump's problem.

Don McGann, twump's former WH counsel famously said, "never fucking testify, you are unable to not lie".

It's a civil suit, dumbass. It is not a prosecution.
The only reason to take the fifth in a civil suit is if answering the questions will likely reveal a crime. Because it is a civil suit, the NY AG can't prosecute Trump for any statements he makes unless he lies under oath. So the only reason for Trump to not answer the questions is out of fear he will reveal he committed a local or a federal crime since those are the only two entities that could indict him based on his testimony unless he were to commit perjury.

I think it's notable as well, that twump has always claimed he "can't wait to tell his side of the story".. then he ran away like a little bitch from both the Mueller investigation and the NY lawsuit.

I'm starting to think trump might be up to something :)

If it walks like a mobster and talks like a mobster, it's probably a mobster so, yes, I believe they are a mob family.

Here's the big irony for Trump's illegal possession of classified documents: https://theweek.com/donald-trump/10...al-jeopardy-by-signing-a-2018-law-on-handling

Trump increased his current legal jeopardy by signing a 2018 law on handling classified documents
PETER WEBER

"If Donald Trump gets arrested by the guy Donald Trump appointed for violating a law Donald Trump enacted, I'll start going to church," Media Matters research director Craig Harrington, evidently not a regular churchgoer, tweeted Wednesday.

Harrington was referring to Monday's FBI search of the former president's Mar-a-Lago club, cleared by Trump's hand-picked FBI director Christopher Wray, and a 2018 law Trump signed that elevated the unauthorized removal and retention of classified government documents to a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.

Wow, a rat caught in his own trap. Karma, baby!

He has no business telling them anything, let the fuckers work for their huge salaries.

Yeah, "huge salaries", government employees. Great job :)

Anyway, I'm sure there's enough corroborating evidence without twump's testimony. Don't worry, he'll pay and be in court for the rest of his life, if not prison.

Your chickens did come home to roost, compadre!

It should be pointed out that pleading the fifth in a civil case CAN be used as evidence that the person is guilty of a crime. That inference CAN be made in a civil trial. The fact that Trump invoked the fifth can be presented as evidence in a civil trial.

WHAAAAAT? You mean the plaintiff can make a case that pleading the 5th is evidence of a crime? WHAAAAT?

I'm hyperventilating.. I need cheese.. I, I, I am so excited :)

Most people know Trump is guilty. There are those who admit it and those who don't. :)

Yeah, but what he's saying is that in a civil case - NYC is suing him - that the prosecution/plaintiff, whatever can use trump's pleading the 5th as evidence he's guilty.

Pretty cool. Unless you're the guilty one - like trump!!!!
