The issue at hand in the Supreme Court was relatively narrow. It was not whether Scotland should be independent or even whether there should be a referendum but specifically whether Holyrood could hold a poll without the consent of Westminster.

The answer was not a surprise but it leaves two big questions hanging in the air for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Is the UK a voluntary union of nations? Is there a credible path to independence?

So the country that wants independence from the English is prevented from gaining it by the judicial system of the English which is loaded by an independence-blocking law written by the English in the first place.

Seems like a case for armed revolt.

Arlene Foster to go up against Sturgeon as she establishes anti-independence group

The group, which Baroness Foster stresses is a "non-party political", is focused on the "positive benefits of being together in the UK".

Baroness Arlene Foster is going head-to-head with Nicola Sturgeon, launching the Together UK foundation. The group, which the former DUP leader stresses is "non-party political", is focussed on the "positive benefits of being together in the UK". She told Express.co.uk that Britons have "heard a lot from separatists in Scotland or Northern Ireland", but there hasn't been "much conversation around the benefits of the union".

Baroness Foster said separatists have a tendency to claim that an independent Scotland or Northern Ireland is "inevitable", something which she said is "not true".

The group will work with political parties on both sides of the spectrum, with the aim of "securing the union".

She described Ms Sturgeon's independence mission as being "divisive", telling the SNP leader to focus on issues such as the "education system or the health system".

Scottish opposition parties reject SNP’s plan to treat election as referendum
Nicola Sturgeon says making general election a de facto vote on independence is only lawful way for Scots to express their will

Following Wednesday’s unanimous supreme court ruling that the Scottish government cannot hold a second referendum without Westminster’s approval – which four consecutive prime ministers have refused to give – Sturgeon told a news conference: “We must and we will find another democratic, lawful and constitutional means by which the Scottish people can express their will. In my view, that can only be an election.”

The Scottish National party leader later addressed a pro-independence rally outside the Holyrood parliament, telling the crowd that the court judgment “clarified that the UK is not a voluntary partnership of nations”.

There's always UDI. That should shake up the Westminster fraudsters and bum-pinchers.

I know many Scots and they all detest that odious creature Sturgeon and her equally odious obese cunt Ian Blackford at Westminster. McMoonshi'ite relies on the fact that most Americans do not understand the difference between UK law and English law.
