Will ABC be next???

"Tapper: ABC. MSNBC. Univision. I mean how are they any different?

Gibbs: You and I should watch sometime around 9 o’clock tonight. Or 5 o’clock this afternoon.

Tapper: I’m not talking about their opinion programming or issues you have with certain reports. I’m talking about saying thousands of individuals who work for a media organization, do not work for a “news organization” -- why is that appropriate for the White House to say?

Gibbs: That’s our opinion."

This just goes to show the ignorance of the administration buffoons on this faux 'issue'. They are looking at the op-ed shows and pretending that is how all of the actual news programs are as well. No question the op-ed leans hard to the right on Fox. No question the news programs also tilt that way. But as mentioned by many others... there is just as much bias at MSNBC/SeeBS and to a lesser degree NBC/ABC/CNN. Yet because they all tilt towards the Saintly One... they still get to be 'news organizations'.

Though ABC is now treading on thin ice...

You mean CBS has a 24 hour all news network that intersperses opinion with news, and that "there is just as much bias" at this 24 hour CBS news network as there is at Faux?

Because CBS news is only on the air for roughly 4-5 hours a day, and that's counting the Morning Show, so I don't see how you can prove "there is just as much bias" between the two.

Hey Shitfer, why did you take my tasty quotes out of your sig?

And cbs does have "just as much bias". It's packed into a smaller time frame. You have to consider density. Have you ever heard of science?

I'm pretty sure that everyone in the country who still thinks Fox is a news organization at all similar to ABC or CNN resides on this forum.

Impossible to fit in an equal amount of bias.

You've got O'Reilly, Hannity and Beck. Plus Bret Baier, Fox & Friends, Steve Ducey(?), Laura Ingraham, etc, etc...PLUS all the prime time shows get repeated.

Why doesn't he take them out? Because he's a vindictive girly crybaby.

that is just plain stupid....

so a one hour air america show is less bias because it is only one hour....

I don't know. compared to what?

compared to a 24 hour show from someone from the opposite party.....

its just plain stupid to compare how many hours the show is, it is the content....you're claiming that because CBS only has opinion/news for 5-6 hours a day, they can't be as bias because they don't have news all day....

if all of their news is bias, it doesn't matter if its not run 24 hours a day in order to determine if they are more or less bias....bias is about content, not simply quantity....if i voted for democrats for the first 16 hours of the day, but now vote solidly republican for last 8, that doesn't make me more of a democrat

Ahhhh but you agree that quantity has something to do with it.

huh....if i claim to be completely neutral, yet put down only democrats and praise all things republicans for 30 minutes, you are actually saying that i would be less bias than someone who did the same or the opposite for 60 minutes.....???

1) just as much bias in HOW they report, not in the number of hours they report.

2) As for Fox, again, they have OP-ED shows and they have NEWS shows. Try to learn the difference.

I'm pretty sure that everyone in the country who still thinks Fox is a news organization at all similar to ABC or CNN resides on this forum.

I am pretty certain that anyone in this country that can't figure out the difference between NEWS and OP-Ed shows is on this forum.

Also, as I stated, they are being compared more to the MSNBC and CBS, and to a lesser degree CNN/ABC/NBC. Take a look at CNN fact checking a SNL SKIT.... that should show you there is indeed bias there. To pretend otherwise simply shows your partisanship.

You might check there in the first sentence of my response where I mention both News programs and Opinion programs.

You might want to check if the local college has any remedial reading classes so you can improve that comprehension.

So, you going to continue to play the pissy little baby or can we try and discuss this?

Here is your first response....

Yes, CBS news intersperses their opinion in their news. They do so by WHAT they report and HOW they report it. Similar to Fox NEWS. There is a similar level of bias in their reporting.

The problem with many of you on the left is that you get confused with Fox's OP-ED shows with O-Reilly/Hannity etc.... and pretend that is their actual NEWS programs. Thus, I once again state... learn the difference between the two.

Then you go on to pretend that the amount of time on the air has ANYTHING to do with bias within programming. But please, keep trying to spin away from the fact that you are unwilling to admit the bias that is shown on other networks. Keep on pretending it is just that evil Fox that does it.
