Poll shows 0% of Black voters had 'poor' voting experience in November despite Biden

A new poll shows 0% of Georgia’s Black voters had a "poor" experience casting a ballot in the midterm elections in November, the first since new voting laws took hold in the Peach State.

The results of the University of Georgia poll and high turnout proved voters saw "through the lies" despite claims from Democrats and the White House that said the new law represents "Jim Crow 2.0," Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told Fox News Digital.

"Partisan critics of Georgia’s elections described our processes and security measures as ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ designed to ‘suppress’ voters and ‘subvert’ elections," Raffensperger said in a statement this week.

"But record-breaking midterm voter turnout, minimal voter wait times and an overwhelming majority of voters approving of how our election went prove that Georgia voters see through those lies. They know that Georgia elections are safe, secure and accessible to every legal voter."

The poll showed 0% of Black respondents felt their voting experience was "poor" during the last election. Just over 72% of Black voters polled said the experience was "excellent" and 23.6% said the experience was "good."

Additionally, almost 99% of voters said they had no issues casting a ballot and 95.3% of voters said they waited less than 30 minutes.

According to the poll, which was answered by 1,253 Georgia residents who say they voted, 84.1% of Black voters said they strongly or somewhat agreed with the statement that it is "easy to cast a ballot in the state of Georgia" compared to 15.9% who disagreed or didn’t know.

Georgia voter turnout has continued to shatter records despite the 2021 legislation that Democrats, including Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and President Biden, insisted would make it harder for Black residents to vote.

In a March 2021 statement, Biden referred to the Georgia legislation as an "attack on the right to vote" containing provisions that "effectively deny the right to vote to countless voters."

"This is Jim Crow in the 21st century," Biden said. "It must end. We have a moral and constitutional obligation to act."

So Biden lied to us???

Jim Crow 2.0? Jim Eagle? Say it ain't so Joe. How many of you always knew this was a lie. I certainly did.

For much of this you will need to thank our legal system, out court system for preventing republican poll abuse. Just one example involved closing the polling sites on the weekend prior to the election. It was only the court system allowed them to remain open and serve the citizens who could not vote during the week.

From your link: "Not a single public poll in 2020 showed Collins with a lead in her race, and some polls showed the senator trailing her Democratic opponent, Sara Gideon, by double digits. Yet when the votes were counted, Collins beat Gideon by nine percentage points. How did this happen?"

I'd have to see the polls themselves. There's a big difference between not being in the lead and "trailing..by double digits". Some polls are biased in the way they ask questions or how they conduct the poll.

Note that most of these are within the standard margin of error if using 4-8%. Another reason I like polls with tighter margins such as <3.5%. Quinnipiac is the clear outlier in this poll. Their sampling error is 2.9% but was a phone survey of "self-identified likely voters"

I have little faith in polling, but Collins was suddenly very unpopular in '20. She sucked trump's teat so many times, voters were pissed.

Something happened at the last minute, but she won easily.

I wonder what the margin of error was in '20 when they had Collins down by double digits on election day?

At election time when I get calls from the pollsters, I always lie about who I support. Polling is scientific, mathematical actually, but there’s no way of knowing if the respondents are lying.
Do you think the blacks that participated in the poll were lying?

Quite some time ago you must have been joking about smoking now and then

No. I did it when it first became legal here. I smoked the stuff almost every day in college but it affected me much differently. Kept trying to get that good feeling but never did so the last batch I got from the pot shop a few years ago I actually threw away.

Yet all major political candidates and parties use polling as a tool. Why?

Agreed there had to be causal factors in the flip, but since most polls were within the margin of error, I'm certain most Hillary fans can understand the dynamics. :)

You got your facts wrong.....although voter suppression has been highlighted and noted, the intent behind voter suppression...pay attention WAS TO PREVENT VOTER FRAUD....that was the purpose all along and when the GOP understood that its there party that cheated, lied and committed fraud, all attempts were forted, that's why voters had no issues this election and also note, the arrogance of a red wave was so prevalent and anticipated, again suppressing voters wasn't in full effect.

Voting is a 2 part process. First, you have to qualify by registering. In this part, the Repubs are doing all they can to stop minorities and old people from getting permission to vote. They use caging lists. They demand ID which for many is problematic. They challenge people's rights to vote. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/oct/05/georgia-voter-suppression-registration-challenges They close polls in poor neighborhoods to make long, long lines. They change the precincts the voter i\s in, often without notification.
Once you arrive at the proper poll and get in, you are not under the power of Repubs so much. But they are working on that now.

It's always interesting to see you support Trumpism then play the angry, black woman sock. LOL

No. They have no reason to lie. I agree that there seems to be a fairly new habit of people lying during polling. That's why I don't trust it. Especially exit polling.

Candidates do a lot of things that are probably outdated. There was a time when polling was accurate. Not so much anymore. Moose admitted to lying when he's polled. I never participate in polling. It's a waste of my time. They ask the same question 5 times during the poll to make sure you aren't lying. I don't have the time for that.

I think Comey put his thumb on the scale in the 11th hour and did Clinton in. Of course, there is no way of knowing how many students participated in any of the polls, so the fact that they opted not to vote was big.

Sometimes being up big in the polls is bad, as people might believe it isn't important to go out and actually vote.

Yeah and claiming the hunter laptop story was Russian misinformation and then admitting a year later it's actually real is kind of the opposite of putting a thumb on the scale right?

Anymouse has proved himself to be more mouse than man. Polls are good tools, but like any tool, there are limitations.

Disagreed on Comey. Notice both the far Left and far Right hate him...for doing his job. Both sides wanted him to ignore his duty.

Disagreed since there are often more candidates and issues at stake during an election than a single candidate. Sure, there might be a few dumbasses who think that way, but if we instituted an national IQ and competency test before allowing people to vote, those idiots would never be able to vote. LOL

Comey was not doing his job. At the time he decided to go public about the laptop, the FBI was actively investigating trump for his myriad ties to Russia.

He chose to announce one investigation but not the other. He cited fears about an FBI leak for the reason he made the announcement.

Imagine if he announced the investigation into trump mere days before the election.

I know you absolutely hate the Clintons, and love what Comey did for that reason. You are one of tens of millions in this nation that feel the same way.

That doesn't mean Comey wasn't a moron for his actions

I did. Tried and even did the edibles. Either no effect whatsoever or I had to intake so much it made me feel very paranoid. Finally just threw it away.
Edibles are very different than bud. I'm not a fan. For the same reason you stated, along with the fact that they last longer than I want them to, and the dosage is hard to gauge.
