On top of British intelligence saying that "the intel was being fixed around the policy," Colin Powell's aide being given a "chinese menu" of WMD evidence and then told to "make a case," Paul O'Neil testifying that Bush's attitude from the beginning was one of "go find me a way to do this" about invading Iraq, a bipartisan Senate committee concluding that pre-war intelligence was manipulated by the admin, etc., etc., etc.

Why do people work so hard to try to get the Bush admin off the hook? This was such an avoidable disaster, a completely unnecessary war. All they did was push it & sell it, at the behest of PNAC's goals for the world. People should be pissed, and this should be Bush's sole legacy.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441 is a United Nations Security Council resolution adopted unanimously by the United Nations Security Council on November 8, 2002

Resolution 1441 stated that Iraq was in material breach of the ceasefire terms presented under the terms of Resolution 687. Iraq's breaches related not only to weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), but also the known construction of prohibited types of missiles, the purchase and import of prohibited armaments, and the continuing refusal of Iraq to compensate Kuwait for the widespread looting conducted by its troops during the 1991 invasion and occupation. It also stated that "...false statements or omissions in the declarations submitted by Iraq pursuant to this resolution and failure by Iraq at any time to comply with, and cooperate fully in the implementation of, this resolution shall constitute a further material breach of Iraq's obligations.

You ask, "Why do people work so hard to try to get the Bush admin off the hook?"....and I ask, "Why do people try so hard to blame only Bush"?....

UN Resolution 1441 is only one of dozens of Security Council resolutions, adopted unanimously, against Saddam .....dozens... adopted unanimously .... does that fact actually ever penetrate the skulls of Bush haters?

While I agree the Bush was fed up with the UN and didn't seek the permission of world before he acted, I say "so what"....some one eventually has to make a stand.
Was there disagreement about Iraq's WMD capability? Yes...

For every Scott Ritter, or Hans Blix, there were 10+ United Nations Security Council resolutions adopted unanimously against Saddam concerning WMD....who were the worlds leaders to side with.....?
Dozens of UN resolutions against Saddam....., NIE's that warned of Iraqi WMD,....world-wide intell that generally agreed on Iraq's WMD....Saddams own claims.....or Scott Ritter?

The choice was made and it no doubt was wrong about WMD, ,,,thats the way it goes.... no one ever promised that US Presidents were infallable...i.e. Obama.....

Be that as it may....the fuckin' murderer Saddam is dead and thats justice served....

BRAVO: The choice was made and it no doubt was wrong about WMD, ,,,thats the way it goes....

“That’s the way it goes”??? Wow, pathetic.

Trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives were sacrificed because you, Dumbya, and his enablers were hell bent on war.

It's pathetic that you just can't admit that you and Bush made a costly and deadly blunder; one that ranks in the annals of history as one of the most epic and bloody mistakes ever made.

Instead of calling everyone who opposed your war “traitors” in 2003, maybe you should have listened to us, and considered that maybe, just maybe, a full on military invasion wasn’t warranted. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Saddam considered islamic extremists his enemy too, and by March 2003 it was increasingly obvious to all but the most partisan, that Saddam didn’t have any WMD capability that would threaten us.

this shit again.
you must know this administrations poll numbers suck they trot out Bush and the Iraq war again..:palm:

Sorry....I went with the odds, the majority of the world, our intell agencies.....and many democrats....including Clinton...you see, I too am not infallible....nor am I sorry for it....Saddam was an extremists, obviously you're no rocket scientist,.....

the US has stood by its legacy of helping those in danger and victims of genocide, be it Bosnia or Iraq.....
I'm rather proud of my country.....so FU....

People like you are a dying breed, even in America, maybe they should be declared an endangered species?

hahah, keep thinking that if you want..If you all were such a force why did your Messiah and his administrations fall 30 points in the polls in JUST ONE YEAR...dummy:cof1:

I was referring specifically to the number of Americans that still feel that Bush and Blair did not lie and fabricate the case for invading Iraq, that you are still one of them is hardly a surprise.

oh, and you all know this how? crystal ball or just because you all say so.

The left has no problem heaping shame and disgrace upon our military men and women if they can attack Bush and make themselves and this administration seem Nobel..

Ah, yes - the ol' tactic of Bush apologists. By rightly criticizing Bush for rushing America into an unnecessary war, we're "heaping shame and disgrace" on the men & women of our military.

Truly pathetic.

rightly criticizing...
so you're not attacking our military men and women by saying they fought a unnecessary war..maybe you all could just spit on them like when they come home from Vietnam..you all said that was a unnecessary war also..

Vietnam WAS an unnecessary war, and if we all behaved as you do, we'd never learn from history & work to avoid so many unnecessary casualties in the future.

I would never criticize the soldiers who went to Vietnam. It's never the soldiers. It's the "deciders."

I understand your need to distract & deflect, however...

I'm not distracting from anything...you all just make me sick..

Bush is OUT OF OFFICE yet you are still bringing him and Iraq up...It is you lefties who are using it now as a DISTRATION from this administration FAILURES and their continuing "war policies"...you don't care if it demoralizes our military men and women..

If you cared about the troops, you would have opposed the invasion of Iraq with every fiber of your being in 2003.

You didn't. I know that's difficult to live with, but it's pathetic distraction to try to make this about "the troops."

if you all "care" so much for the troops you would be in the streets now opposing this administrations continuing war in Afghanistan..funny how you just pick and choose which wars you're are going to oppose..

you lefties are as transparent as a ghost..

You are all just a bunch of spineless bastards who care little about our troops. Granted, not all, but most. Pathetic.
