No, votes are not votes. Voting seasons are not how elections are supposed to work. We shouldn't be voting for a month or more on end. We hold an election on a particular day and you show up and vote. You show that you are legally supposed be able to vote and who you are at that time.

As for the rest, absence of proof isn't proof of absence.

The state, you, and I, have absolutely NO way of knowing who filled out and mailed in a ballot. None. Verification by signature is a pathetic joke, particularly in an age where e-signatures are becoming the norm.
