That “well regulated militia” just keeps getting younger and younger

”9-year-old child fatally shoots 6-year-old in Florida home”

And the right’s solution is we need even more guns, and easier access to more guns

False analogy. This is a case of irresponsible parents not taking individual responsibility for their actions. You then conflate that into a canard / red herring about militias, and proffer up a sarcastic falsehood to back that up.

If you can decide you sex you can have a gun. Stop being a whiny bitch.

Apparently, anyone can have a gun, even a nine year old, and as I’ve said, just about anyone who wants a gun can get a gun in America, certainly enough out there, more guns than people, and access couldn’t be any easier

Guess the right has to start training the nine year olds for when the “well regulated militia” has to fight off the Government

Agree it is exaggerated, but does highlight America’s problem with guns

I am just repeating what the gun huggers echo, guns are necessary, the “well regulated militia” is necessary in the event the Government oversteps its boundaries

And the point is was it even necessary to have a gun in the house with two young children, and apparently as we have seen too many times before, kids killing kids, or just killing, happens frequently in America

he want's nazi style tyranny for all civilians

Nah, ain’t about ideology, rather common sense, and you want solutions, let’s begin with treating guns as we do vehicles, same requirements to include liability insurance, and please, spare us the “freedom” bullshit

So you don't have any.

Gotcha.

Nah, as I just told your comrade, to make it simple, let’s start treating guns as we do vehicles, same requirements, registration, licenses, renewals, etc., to include liability insurance.

Now next your inane rebuttal is going to be, so, how would any of that stopped the kid from shooting another kid

And how do you think that is going to reduce gun violence in any significant way?

Most people who use guns do so with illegally gained guns.

The others do acquire them legally but use them for violence.

It's like saying that registering vehicles reduces drunk driving deaths.

It's a stupid argument.

It makes access to guns more difficult, which is the point, access in America today is too easy, nearly anyone who wants a gun can get a gun, even those on a terrorist watch list, and forget the Kennedy was on a terror watch list bullshit

The majority of mass murders in America were committed by legal gun owners, good guys with guns right up till they pulled the trigger, Stephen Paddock alone tips the scale, and the majority of those weapons making it up the Iron pipeline to the wannabe gangsters were initially procured thru legal avenues

Registering, probably not, but see what happens to your drivers license and especially insurance if you get stopped for drunk driving

Got anything else? Anything relevant?

There are more guns than people in the US, anyone can get a gun at this point.

Registration doesn't make it harder to get a gun, it just takes a little longer.

People planning murder or mass shootings usually aren't in a rush.

All I can say on that is,

Maybe it's better if we let nature run its course and kill it off...

Finally saw the light on one certainty, there are too many guns and nearly anyone can get one

Registration is but one step of many, liability insurance plus other requirements make it more burdensome, and many unnecessary murders are spontaneous, the guy gets pissed at the wife or boss, and having the gun easily available produces bad results
