It seems to me, the lefties are being awfully quiet about Obama's unjustified unilateral war with the sovereign nation of Yemen. I wonder why that is? After all, Yemen is not the home of Bin Laden, and Yemen had nothing to do with 9/11. There has been no connection made between the Yemeni government and alQaeda, or the Taliban. We don't even have the suspicion Yemen may be hoarding WMD's! Yet, here we are, stomping into another middle eastern country with guns and bombs a-blazing, inflaming the radical 'Arab Street' into retaliatory terror attacks, like the Underwear Bomber on Christmas Day!

Obama and his cronies told us Bin Laden was in the hills of Pakistan... so why are we invading and conquering YEMEN? Is it possibly because Yemen borders AFRICA, and Obama is seeking tribal Muslim vengeance for his African father? That's what they told us about Bush's motives regarding Iraq, seems good enough to apply it to Obama in this case as well.
 
Yes. Good equation. There's not enough moronic shit about the Obama disaster to preclude you from equating our policy towards Yemen to our war on Iraq. So lets make some UP!

Nothing made up here, I am just wondering why the change of face with the liberals? We were brow-beaten and lectured for 8 years about Iraq and Bush's policies, why do those same standards no longer apply to President Obama? Why is it suddenly acceptable for us to bomb a sovereign nation who had nothing to do with 9/11, and doesn't pose an imminent threat to the US? Can someone explain it to me, because it seems the liberals are being hypocrites on this.

Did we go to the UN? Did we attempt to negotiate with Yemen? Could sanctions have worked? It seems all of this was bypassed by Obama, and the bombs just starting flying! When Bush went to the UN, tried to get something done diplomatically, exhausted all reasonable recourse, and eventually launched an invasion to implement Clinton's 1998 Iraq Liberation Act as policy, he was called a Cowboy... what does that make Obama? ...A Tyrant?
 
I thought you'd approve of this kind of thing if it happened. But partisan politics wins the day yet again.
 
If Yemen does have WMDs, its about an even money bet that we sold them to them. Its been a policy that has failed over and over again. No reason to change it now.

LOL... It's not about whether I approve or disapprove. It's about two-faced dishonest hypocrites having their noses forcibly rubbed in the same excrement they crapped out for Bush. I never made any of the arguments stated above, the liberals made them about Bush and Iraq, and now that Obama is president, the same standards simply do not apply. They can't even bring themselves to discuss this, because then they would have to fess up to their own hypocrisy!

Well of course they want us to bomb them! How dumb of me to assume a third-world Arabic country wouldn't appreciate being bombed by Obama! Obviously, they missed the inaugural, and an Obama Bomb makes a nice souvenir! I bet all the other third-world radical nations are jealous!

And Desh, I know you don't remember anything like that in Iraq, you had your head buried too far up Michael Moore's ass to remember anything during that time.... but I think I have to disagree with you. Since we now understand that certain third-world sovereign nations actually LIKE to be bombed, and it's a fact that the Iraqi government ignored 17 UN resolutions, I think maybe Saddam wanted to be bombed by Bush!

My guess is that you can't handle seeing actual integrity & conviction when it's right in your face, because you have absolutely none.

LOL... Like just the other day, when you "renounced and condemned" Obama's actions, then explained how you still plan on supporting his re-election because you aren't a 'one issue' voter? Yeah, I need me some 'integrity & conviction' like THAT!

Sorry, I just don't see it. Cyndi Shehan certainly isn't stalking Obama on his vacation, and the liberal media isn't hounding the dog shit out of Obama about this, like they did with Bush and Iraq. When I start seeing the wild conspiracy theory movies start to emerge, I might believe you!

Nope... judging by the reaction here, this seems to be something liberals don't really want to talk about! They are going out of their way to change the subject... even Desh is claiming the Yemeni's WANTED bombing!

I actually thought that little discussion we had was very revealing, at least as far as your psyche goes. Just like Rush admitted a few years ago that he was "carrying water" for the GOP, you essentially admitted that you can't acknowledge either a mistake or disagreement with the GOP (or with Bush when he was Prez), because by doing so, you would have to not vote for them anymore.

It explains a ton - why you have spent endless paragraphs apologizing for Bush and Iraq & everything else; you have to do that, to rationalize in your own head why you keep voting for them.

Iraq - the greatest military achievement of our generation. Like that one - remember that?

Of course I'm not speaking on the side of peace, what kind of Conservative would possibly favor peace over war? I mean, we all want to have wars for no other reason than to enable us to steal resources and further our globalist agenda. This isn't really about war and peace, it's more about a double standard from the left. Suddenly, invading and conquering a sovereign nation who poses no imminent threat, is okay... IF you are Obama! Suddenly, the needless killing of thousands of innocent civilians is acceptable, in fact, they WANT us to do it, according to Desh! It's just amazing how principles change completely, based on the political affiliation of the president!
